To many gankers in the game!

You hadn't tried Fury if I remember right AoC server- same high lvl players can gank in low lvl areas, but with added fun of low lvl players not getting lvl boost, everybody having stealth (high lvl players see you sneaking, while you don't see them), and on death you dropping part of gold + some items from your inventory. Fun times.

That RoR is an open pvp game, and pretty tame one, compared to some others.

join an open warband and follow the leader around if you don't want to get ganked playing alone as a lower level in a t2 zone. especially true if it's an AAO zone for the opposite faction you should expect some high levels to be there to farm bags and turn in boxes and clean up the occasional kill. the game is heavily oriented towards team based gameplay. t2-t4 is merged, so no such thing as a low level zone unless its t1, and majority of players are high level and those who are not typically know to stick with the herd to not get picked off.

T2 is no longer a lowlvl area. Considering you are boosted to lvl 40+, technically speaking I wouldn't call this being lowlvl. It's an open pvp zone, you entered on your own choice and you should know that you can meet any number of enemies at any given time. Therefore you shouldn't play alone, especially as new player. Queue for SC if you can't find a group or warband or follow others in ever zone.

As a returning player, I have to say that the amount of full sov gankers nowadays is insane. Probably due to the rework (still figuring that out).

Before you could always get a few kills here and there even as a small party with new characters but back then (1-2 years ago) full sov people were actually quite rare to see in orvr. Now it's every second player and there is just zero chance against them.

Reading some of the rework changes, at first I thought it would be really nice but in hindsight my experience so far has been pretty bad compared to the system we had before.

Don't put yourself into a position where you could get ganked. You accept to get outnumbered, when entering rvr zone.
