Is the game worth getting into as a newcomer in 2023

As the title says, and I'm sure it's a question that gets asked a lot. I've got into the Warhammer franchise fairly recently, and adored TWW1 and TWW2 when they came out (haven't tried out TWW3 yet), and read the Gotrek and Felix novels. I've seen some really positive stuff written about RoR, but I'm not sure how friendly the community it is to a newcomer with no experience with the original game. Help a brother out.

short answer, yes its worth it. There will be some growing pains as learning the game as in any new mmo ya try. Also it is pretty active pop wise, most folks are pretty friendly and will answer questions in /advice chat if you have questions.

Soon there will be a big ability rework patch, more like a clean slate so to speak. So try any class you wish, if you end up with a weaker class after the clean slate dont really worry about it as eventually will be buffed.

Just like any mmo with the holy trinity, tanks and heals are always needed if you are wanting to play those. But really again play and try the classes out find your preferred play style/class.

Weekends and EU evenings have enough players to make the game function.
Off-peak hours, roughly speaking, do not.

Yes it's worth it. Tier 1 and mid tier is fun.

Once you hit 40 you can always roll a new toon. 40 kind of sucks because it's a bunch of best in slot geared players facing fresh 40's and the sov players group up to farm so it's really up hill battle.

Even with that said, 40 can still be fun if you find a guild to roll with.
