what might be fun is if the stat tactics were made free ala loner and you could just pick one of a handful
so for example:
tank - 160 tough or 80 str or 80 ini
dps - 160 str or 160 bal or 160 int or 80 tough or 80 ini
etc.
so you could smooth out awkward builds or try offspec stuff
tough sacrificing tactics (fightin chance) would remain as they are and still take a regular tactic slot

Re: Remove 160 stat tactics
Removing "standard" +160 tactics (Str/Intel/Bal for dps, WP for healers and Toughness for tanks) is not a bad idea, since as you mentioned, they often are considered as mandatory tactics, considering their inherent renown points value (about 40).
Removing Them all wont change much, since they cancel eachother anyway. It could be a slight buff to healers (since they usually never use the WP tactic), but a nerf to classes wich are already struggling to reach their softcap (WH for example without tactic cant reach 1k STR even with full talismans).
THe main issue is to create imbalances between classes who got access to more than one stat increase (mdps, SW/SH, orc/choppa, etc.), because they could still use them to get slightly more stats.
owever with the cost of tactic slots, obviously, wich in return could balance and even things out in the end.
Hard to tell without testing.

Not sure how it would be balanced. Like Fenris said some mdps will need to compensate in other ways, and then there's Greenskins that have the racial Wounds tactic. And what about dwarf Armor tactic? (technically also a pure stat increase)

The solution is simple: fine-tune other available tactics so that people naturally consider slotting them. There are **** loads of garbage tactics on the table; I even created a thread about it six years ago, yet the majority of them still exist.

On the side note, I wouldn't call garbage several tactics in that list. Add 80 wounds to all lvl 40 players. Take about 100 of the mainstat tactics and add them to chars and let us choose do we want another 100 str or even 100 melee power as well as wounds, anything.
I think its too easy to spec for AntiCrit so add 8% Crit to that list and take 8% or so away from the maximum reduction you get from RR points. Give us 100 RR points to use at rr 80 first extra 10 when rr 40 and another when rr 50. Just Make 31 Career skill points the norm instead of 29 and get rid of the horrifying +2 situation.

Longer this server is running, more and more bad suggestions appear on forum. Remove 160 tactics, make all crit tactics core, etc. It seems that ppl just lost theyr mind completely.

Removing them althogeter is a bad idea, adding the effect passively without a tactic requirement will make certain specs OP( some specs actually do not use them and have more important tactics to prioritize ).
Imho they are fine and let the dev team focus on the important stuff that need fixing/balancing.

Or many specs which in bis setup can get close to 1050 mainstat without 160 tactic, which is the point of getting the bis setup- to free a tactic slot.
