Weekend Warfront: Days of Doom

The ancient site known as Doomfist Crater is one steeped in myth and lore. Now Order and Destruction forces converge upon the broken landscape, determined to deny their enemies access to whatever treasures may lay buried beneath the surface.

This weekend Days of Doom will be the weekend warfront from 12:00 on Friday to 12:00 on Monday Altdorf time. You get +50% XP and Renown in the Doomfist Crater scenario, and extra rewards from completing the event tasks.

Completing all tasks gives the title: The Doomed

Scenarios

In most scenarios you can now move around in the entire spawn area before the scenario starts, not just in a circle around the respawn point.

When exiting scenario spawn areas players now get a Defence Buff that lasts for 10s and gives -75% incoming damage.

The "Idle Hands" debuff from live servers have been re-added. If you are idle for 30 seconds inside the spawn area you will get the debuff. It lasts for 60s, when that timer runs out the player is kicked from the scenario. Joining the fight will immediately remove the debuff.

Guards outside of the spawn area in Black Fire Basin and High Pass Cemetery have been move inside the spawn areas.

The MMR column on the scoreboard has been removed in favour of a kill damage column. It was previously available as a tooltip on the damage column, but is now its own column. It tracks damage that contributed to a kill, which is any damage on a killed target that happened after the last time that target was at full health or out of combat.


Ranked

Triumphant insignia are now rewarded in pre-season the same way they are during seasons.

The main season is delayed until after summer, as there's not enough players to keep it alive during the middle of the summer.

General Changes and Fixes

- Champion's Challenge - Can no longer be used on targets with an active root/snare break ability buff.

- Group target abilities are blocked again by scenario barriers.

- The value of the toughness mitigation on critical hits is displayed more accurately in the combat log.

Dungeon Balance: Bilerot Burrow

- The Bile Lord will no longer begin aggro the moment the party drops down from the ledge. He'll now aggro when a player steps into his room.


Dungeon Balance: Sigmar's Crypts

- The AP drain of the Banshee mobs has been cut in half, and these abilities now properly display and are cleansable by all healers.


World Building

- New Nordland NPCs, decorated with the colours and shields of Nordland, have arrived at the Empire Chapter 1-4 camps and the Nordland Order Warcamp. As we did with the introduction of guards wearing High Elf Heraldry, we'll continue to update and add more NPCs like this to other Empire and Chaos camps and PQs in the future.

Group and Warbands

- If you´re trying to invite someone with an already pending invite or if they are already in a group/warband you will be notified of such.


Guilds and alliances

- Fixed an issue where you would get an improper error on inviting guild to alliance where the error would claim player is considering joining another warband.

[22616] - Napalm Grenade no longer stops doing damage if caster dies
[22607] - Rain of Fire now damages players walking into the rain
[22811] - [General] Self knockbacks should now properly show what direction someone is flinged.
[22637] - Oathstone now ends as it should after four blocks

[22946] - Blood on the Steps quest in Bastion Stairs now has the correct choice count

[22838] - [General] Capturing a standard should not give you a multitude of morale buffs.
[16541] - [General] XP gain cap has been modified so that you should not hit it from natural causes and if you do, you now gain the cap instead of nothing.
[21868] - [General] killed by message from oil should now denote the player and not just oil.
[22836] - [General] The dirty and crumbling scrolls now work as well as book of binding when gagged in fortress jail.
[22842] - [RvR] - The underdog buff should no longer overwrite or be overwritten by renown pots.
[22959] - [Scenario] - Fixed an issue where someone under certain circumstances could bolster to rank 44 in a T1 SC.
[22928] - [Magus/Engineer] Land mine / Daemonic infestation will no longer place themselves on your feet if z axis is off. Line of sight has been added to the cast.
[22572] - [General] Healing people who are not in your party gives renown again for Kill Assists.

I like the 10 second change but the other changes of removing guards and the existing barriers are just catering to people who want to farm people till they quit. The old way on the live server of no barriers and active guards meant that if you were out matched there was a chance to do something and it forced the winners to do the objectives. Now it will be stay in spawn, get quitter, log off, quit RoR for most puggies. It’s clear people don’t want matched fights from the spectacular ranked 6v6 failure that less than 5% play. Why push scens in that direction.

And i hope, no more SW, WE, WH teleporting.
Actually I had problems only with the SH jump. None with WE, SW or WH.
That aside, I still wait for the miraculous day when they address WL's pet path and speed (it's insulting), LoS of SH pet & mara pull through dimensions.
Also making equal the BG vs IB obtaining resources and the "loner" tactic, both things are basic mechanics working differently favouring destro.

What's wrong with the WL pet's speed?

What is wrong with the Loner tactic?

The IB vs BG resource gain differences were recently addressed in the May 3rd balance patch. If you disagree with the results of that patch feel free to make a forum post suggesting a better alternative.
