Mara debuffs - opinions?

Was thinking of building a tanky debuff Mara so looking for input on the the worth of debuffs before commiting to gear choices etc.

Exhaustive Strikes - drains 40AP over 3 secs on crit so thats 13.3333333./sec. Im sure there are better drains than this and it seems so many ways to generate AP
exist in game that any drain will be overridden - i dunno - so is it worth it?

Crushing Blows - any hit has 10% chance to drain 100 morale. 10% seems low and is 100 morale "meaningful"- again is it worth it and useful?

Insane Whispers - Interrupts and causes abilities to take 50% extra time to build up - havent done the math but seems a to be a "poor mans" shatter limbs.

Or are my initial unimpressed reactions to these debuffs wrong and they are actually great?

IW is not compareable to SL, while you increase the cooldown of an ability with sl, you increase the casttime by 50% meaning a 3 sec cast is on 4,5sec, this can be a big deal if there is extrea pressure on a target and you try to throw out heals as fast as possible.

Instant is still instant, but as mentioned it is not compareable to Bad gas or SL, another use case

iirc the AP drain tactic was changed to not stack between multiple maras, and the morale drain is just significantly weaker than it used to be. The cooldown of the ability that actually delivers Insane Whispers was increased by a whooping 50%.

Years ago Mara was very much a debuff machine, and could be stacked as such, but the overall trend has moved far past that being a valid option. Mara damage is higher, their utility is weaker, overall TTK is FAR lower, morales play less of a part (You could stack maras previously to drain AP and morale, and win based on your own morale dump given time, no longer a thing) and fights are more about just pushing through people with momentum.

Overall, you kinda just need to do damage. Slotting Crushing Blows isn't bad, but honestly, don't try to do a full utility setup, it's just not a thing anymore. Now it's all about DPS, DPS, DPS.

Tool tip for insane whispers reads "increases build up time" why not just say increases cast time for heavens sake - i wrongly assumed build up meant GCD.

In some cases the morale drain in sweaty cities can be a thing for aoe mara. Not recomended anywhere else.

Because Mythic used "cast" to mean both build-up casting (i.e. where you cast for 2 seconds before the spell then does something) and also for channelling. And then you have interrupts which stop all casts, both build-ups and channels.

Debuffs were nerfed. A couple of monstro marauders with debuffs gave order warbands hell. And just like everything else order doesn't like, they petitioned for it to be nerfed.
