Name change of characters

Wasn't sure where to post this - but after a stint of not playing I have come back and some of my characters have their original name followed by additional numbers and letters (eg. '#######625B62C'). Have my names been taken due to inactivity of my account and changed? Unsure what to do as I am rather attached to the names for my characters.

You can allways try to change back to the name you had or if taken, reinvent yourself!

Command ingame is (iirc) .changename

if your account/character is inactive for a certain amount of time, the names are freed up so others can use. i don't remember the amount of time required for this to happen, maybe 1 year?

if someone else took them in your time away, not much you can do besides ask that person to give you it back.
