Guidance on Assault SW

I dabbled with SW on retail and enjoyed the hybrid mechanic of Assault with some Skirmish the most, so want to give it another shot here.

It seems that the consensus is that it isn’t great, but I’m not looking for it to be the best class, although I want to min/max it as much as I can.

The build and rotation seems fairly straight forward, but I’m less clear on which tactics to use, where to spend my RR and what rotation would be best.

What level of stats are you generally aiming for? Crit seems important, but then needs to be balanced out with more defensive stats? What’s the minimum of crit %, armour, and parry?
