Scenario 'Data'

I have had fun getting caught up on the "Join Solo" and "Join Group" topic currently going on in the General Discussion. There are some lazy and/or rude posts, but there is a lot of thoughtful stuff in there too. What pertains to this topic is what Wraithedge wrote early on:
As was made abundantly clear before. We are testing the group que. We are all testing it and we are expected to give our feedback in a style that will give the developers something to work with in honing the experience to one that meets the needs of the many with what tools are available.

And I am all for that. I say test and test some more. I encourage the feedback to be plentiful and detailed. What was the ratio? What was the action like? Did you meet a premade? Have you met lots of different ones or the same few over and over? How long were the matches? What was the score? How did you feel about the experience? If it went bad, when did it seem certain?

There are probably other questions that can reveal details useful to the devs in the crafting of the que system but make no mistake ladies and gents, it is your accurate and detailed feedback that determines just how long the que system stays broken and to what degree it becomes anything you might enjoy.
So with that in mind, I decided to start giving my data as unbiased as I know how.

EDIT: I'm only barely starting to level my characters out of T1, so if anyone wanted to help post random SC experiences, that's the only way this topic will be useful. Otherwise I'll try it out a little while and if it dies, then it was fun trying something.

Now for my post game analysis. Will find a way to make this more succinct as I get used to it:
Spoiler:
This wasn't very close. It wasn't as traumatizing as queueing as a level 12 WP in T2. But we got stomped. I think Killrush and Illyara were geared very well on Destro. Fancy cloaks and all that. To the point one of our WPs (must have been Tyriondies) started asking in the nicest possible way questions to Illyara like "HOW DID YOU GET SO GEARED!?" as she kicked our butts in a 1v4.

I know I know. Get gud and all that. ;)

I think order was maybe a smidge closer than the final score indicated. Just barely losing a few fights and it can snowball kinda bad. But Illyara was a monster who was gonna be hard to stop. I didn't feel like it was a bad experience. I had fun. I have no idea who all was a premade. Illyara was hanging out by herself showing off. Killrush was getting healed very well. Destro was just pretty organized all in all. Outside of maybe Illyara, I doubt gear was a factor in the beatdown and I wasn't stressed about premades here.

Our first match. We got in a few minutes late. Destro just seemed a little bit better. Their 3 big healers were really good. Pikka, Nerul and Ogysek. Seemed to react well with detaunts and stuff. Good class composition overall it seemed like too. Their two tanks were levels 5 and 6 which is still when they feel kinda useless to me so great job by destroy winning despite that.

We were late to this one too. These matches generally seemed close. I felt like, in general, the team with the better players wins T1. I'm not sure gear has much to do with it and premades mostly only have to do with it to the extent that you've got another 'for sure' good player queued with a good player. I think to this point, it's rarely been about the super organization that I believe dominates the top level play. Just enough strong individuals and T1 usually falls into place.

This was the beginning of a rut. Often largely the same Order players who were just inferior to their matchups on the Destro side. I think there was a lot of group queuing on both sides (not sure that many full premades get together in T1 though but maybe). This is what people talk about when they complain about getting farmed essentially. Not sure what the solution is (I know I know, get gud!). I had fun. I don't mind losing and I sure do enjoy being on the other side of it. I feel I win more than I lose, but not today! We'll be seeing the same names up here a lot over the next few matches. Not using Spoiler on this one because it's the first time Comments is maybe important.

Order was pretty good up to a point. We had the lead at around 250 points still. Then it all fell apart. This is where things really started to feel oddly disorganized from the Order perspective. You'd be winning at an objective. Pushing the opponent back to cap. And then right when the team caps, half the Order would just leave for another point, leaving the frontlines stranded to die. Divide and conquer after that. It was odd. Someone even said "flags" at some point. But we weren't moving together well at all. It was the beginning of a lot of problems for Order for several matches!

And I'm not saying that it's better to just bunch up in a 12 man ball and 'zerg' the SCs. Just that there's a time and place for how to split up and all that. Or I might have been wrong. I guess that's not the point. The point is that Destro often ebbed and flowed as a team. Order would always start solid, and then start careening haphazardly around the map willy nilly it seemed sometimes and every fight felt outnumbered for everyone as the Kill Count will show as we progress through this.

Cevonion, Bigvan, Oldhammer and Nikhoumouk were a dominant 4 man group. They were very good and I don't resent them one bit. But they were all 4 better than pretty much any of us Order queueing up at this time. Nerul, Trotro and Curbstompa might have been another solid 3 man group.

On the slip side we're going to see a lot of Order come up repeatedly with kind of pedestrian stats. Myself included. Won't name folks on that end because it seems rude. But as much as the premades are getting a lot of hate, getting queued with bad players on your side repeatedly is at least as harmful I'd say. Healers who can't heal. DPS who struggle to dps. Both who struggle with detaunts. That sort of thing.

Someone suggested people try to give data for SCs rather than just post opinions. This is the best way I know how to write down data. Not very helpful if I'm the only one doing it. But I thought I'd give it a try for a couple days. I've mostly just done T1 SCs since picking up the game and I suspect the "Group Queue" and "Solo Queue" discussion doesn't apply there as much. But *shrug*

Torgind and Benis I think were a very good duo queue from Destro. I think this was largely Destro pugs beating Order pugs though. Which is really what was going on most of the afternoon.

Don't think T1 is really helpfull Ehen you're looking for the impact of premades.
Pretty much always afk or tabbed out.
