Fresh Install Issues

I am having issues with a fresh install. This is what I have done so far.

1. Download Client from utorrent

2. Move Warhammer Folder to Program Files

3. Turn off Utorrent

4. Download Launcher and put it in Warhammer Folder

5. Open launcher...input info...click connect

Nothing has happened so far and I have attempted around 5-6 times. I have also ensured that those 3 files have read only unchecked.

Important to add....

I have tried opening launcher as admin...i have notice that when I try to uncheck read only for the entire folder...it just automatically puts it back to a read only status.

However...war..launcher...data file are all still uncheck read only.

You have to disable "read-only" from the WAR folder (including subfolders), AND open the RoR launcher as admin.

if that doesn't work, it might be because you moved the game. Why would you even move it after downloading it? why not just download it to where you want it?

there might be files that can't find the game now, because you moved it. that might be your issue.

When disable read only from the file...it does the operation then i check after it...read only is still checked.

you might have to do it a few times. happened to me too. also, if you can click the "unblock" to the right, try that as well.

make sure that your firewall isn't blocking war.exe for ror lanucher, too.

I have done it about 15 times since I have last posted...still nothing....very frustrating

Redownloading from UTorrent.....if anyone has any solutions please let me know.

I do believe the issue is I cant put the entire folder to a disabled read only status.

Having the same issue. Played fine last night. Tried to log in this morning and I get nothing after clicking connect. I have tried everything listed to get it to work to no avail. i am redownloading now and going to try all the steps again with a fresh set of files. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Unchecking read-only from the folder is intended to remove read-only from all of the necessary files at the same time. The folder itself doesn't matter. if WAR.exe and Data.myp are not marked, then it should be fine.

There is currently an unknown issue with the Launcher however. If you put in your info and click connect, but the connect button does not grey out, then close the launcher and try it again. Multiple times. Eventually it will grey out the connect button and WAR should launch.
