Hey guys!
I'm new to Return of Reckoning and didn't play Warhammer Online back in the day, but I'm excited to learn the game as the server grows. I usually play a healer but got a taste of tanking on an alt on Final Fantasy XIV and have been itching to learn the role, so I've rolled a Knight of the Blazing Sun named Reshi (I had been eyeing the Swordmaster as well but read on here they're currently under-powered as tanks). If anyone is willing to share any tips or advice for a new Warhammer Online player I'd love to hear them!
See you guys in the game!

1. Always use a shield
2. Peeling back to guard your healer is more important than trying to get that one last kill
3. Always use a shield
4. Play multiple tank classes to get a feel for which one you like best

Re: New to WAR
Grab all the player kill quests, it's a good way to make money while getting experience and renown
Re: New to WAR
Go make an SM again they have obscene parry and are extremely strong duelists. Kotbs is only good for parties etc you will most likely be running from keep to keep on the coat tails of whatever crappy pug team the local sociopath has hodge podged together and you will recieve almost 0 heals/respect/gratitude.
If you came to game with 5 friends with ventrilo or teamspeak i'd say play kotbs however if you are new and want the special privilege of sending a /tell to any idiot destro dumb enough to laugh at you for charging the lines and being a decent human being and showing a modicum of enthusiasm for combat then you can send them a /tell right back with 1v1? and you can be safe in the knowledge that you will most likely tear them to pieces with a 2h sm and you can even stick on your shield and be just as effective in a group if you decide to run scens.

Re: New to WAR
Thanks for the tips guys! I guess I might give the Swordmaster (or maybe the Black Orc) a shot again then, the stance/balance mechanic reminded me a lot of the combos on FFXIV's Marauder, which I liked a lot.
