Shaman or Zealot: most useful T4 healer?

Hi guys,

first of: I am really exited about RoR - big thanks for the DEVs for bringing this great MMO back!! Thanks a lot!!!

Could some veteran player please give me a hint on which healer class is most usefull for T4 scenarios and open rvr?

I tried both Shaman and zealot in T1 and preferr the Shaman mechanic, however when reading I mostly read about T4 groups running Dok plus Zealot combination in T4 .

So I would like to avoid levelling a Shami to T4 and find myself "useless" (i.e. outperformned) by Zealots.

Any ideas and comments are much appreciated.

Many thanks,
GreenFeetz

Zealots are by far the better healer than Shamans in all four tiers and one could argue that they are a bit easier. They provide more to the group with better buffs and better mobile healing especially at lower tiers. Lastly know that T3 is end game right now and might be for the time being.

it is tricky question. at t4 shamans got much better survivability, while zealot excels at healing. So depends what you want to do/be. Shamans are much more self dependent, while zealot need more attention of the group members. The big difference is that zealot couple with Dok is much better thanks to the different procs, while shaman couple pretty awesome with kotbs...

although at t3 zealots are much better

If by pair well, you mean completely counter with triple enchantment shatter.....they they couple quite well

Having said that shammys are more mobile than zelots, due to run away tactic but zelot mechanic is easier and provide more for a grp

for me a good healer is a healer living so everything depends on the player!

sham>mobility
zealot>placing

Good healers are useful, not certain classes. A bad played dok or zeal isn't helping your team any further.
Dying is no option.

yes, but at t3 good zealot or doks are better than good shaman. It is simple as that. The whole concept of shamans being proactive healers that are focused on hots is totaly broken thanks to quite many anti-logical decisions about some skills and tactics design

Most useful T4 healer will be DoK
Period.
