Since Aza on bugtracker stated, that stealth issues are not bugs and should be discussed on Forum viz (Witch Hunter(& Witch Elf?) Stealth breaking #1093 ), I invite all WH/WE players from live to discuss about stealth in general and how it works in RoR.
Some say it works fine and I disagree with this.
Issues I have are:
Destealth occure when projectiles are on the move to You, U enter stealth, but immedeate destealth when projectile land on You.
Destealth occure from single random untargeted AOE.

WH was my second most played class back in the day.
I recall being pulled from stealth by projectiles if they managed to finish casting/used insta ones, part of the reason you always wanted to have LoS before stealth cast was over.
However I m pretty sure one could disregard any AoE flying around while in stealth. Only way to pull WE/WH out of stealth was to pass ini check and dmg them with direct attack.
But since it was more than 6 years ago by now, I cannot give you 100% accuracy on that aspect.

Both your issues sounds like skill by your enemy. I play BW and Sorc and I can confirm you are just getting owned.
Word of Pain and Boiling Blood are no longer able to proc anything. The Bright Wizard College has confirmed this is a big deal. (stealth nerf)

I'm almost 100% positive that magus demon explosions now pull you out of stealth every time now. Rift also pulls invis targets, same for get to da choppas real nice 5 sec "stun".
Projectile disjoint would be awesome too, Stealth is all a WH/WE has to get in or out of the fray... it does have it advantages over charge or even pounce... but in terms of reliability it is just at the very bottom, and it can make playing WH/WE extremely frustrating.

I played a WH to 100 on live and I don't remember getting knocked out of stealth nearly as much on live as I do on this server. I feel like a lot of random untargeted aoe and even dot ticks have knocked me out on this server.
I also feel like due to there being no LOS check at the end of casts people can just spam axe throw on you and make it much more difficulty to get back into stealth even when running around what should be LOS obstacles. I just get hit by axes/spells/whatever through walls and rocks.

Well, I'll let the cat out of the bag, it's because the radius of AOE spells is much larger on RoR than they were on live. 1.3.0b nerfed all radius spells, but on RoR everything not only seems restored, but even increased a touch.Mavella wrote:I played a WH to 100 on live and I don't remember getting knocked out of stealth nearly as much on live as I do on this server. All you guys need to do is actually take a safer run around combat. I don't play my WE much, but i have zero problems with stealth because I know the damage radius.

There were plenty of times on live where I got hit with a quake after using stealth which never knocked me out. I would get staggered and the Chosen would run around looking for me. He may have found me but the quake damage definitely did not knock me out of stealth. Same thing with Lotsa Choppin. I feel like you're gonna get knocked out by both of those things almost 100% of the time here.

WH/WE don't have any for of real escape beside the good old root/snare immunity into flee until level 40, and even that ability is unreliable compared to what other MDPS have access to.
I just don't feel like WH/WE have much of a real place in ORvR aside from ganking people who are out of position or alone, certainly the worst class for keep D/Atk which is a pretty big part of the game. WH come into their own in T4 for sc groups, not too sure about WE I think they get overshadowed too much by choppa/mara in that sense.
Making some of their mechanics more reliable or usable at a higher frequency I think would help with their viability over other classes that fill their slots. I'm not trying to say the classes are in a bad state like engineer in t4 though.
