Return of Reckoning

as i finish creating my character and click play. It wont put me into the game? its searching for allies and locating players or something like that. Any suggestions on what that might be and how i can fix it?

i open 'warpatch' and it does nothing? just initializing

it is run as administrator, i turned firewall off and it still didnt work
do i need to extract the launcher? if so i've tried and it does not work it says \RoRLauncher.exe: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged)
