Instead of Morale drains.

In the light of whats comming to be the new Morale drain meta in RVR i've been thinking about the facts that it's extremly boring to have a set of skills (Morales) that you won't be allowed to use unless you bunker up behind a wall, especially the specceble M4 which requires a massive investment and almoast only see use on classes with morale pump effects.

Theres also the problem that if the opponent have prebuilt morales and you don't, then there's essentially nothing you can do to stop em.

Heres what i'm suggesting:

Mara, RP, SM and WH morale drain tactics now have a 25% chance to cause Fear for 5 seconds. (New CC). Fear prevents the player from casting morale skills for 5 seconds. This stacks up to 3 times for a maximum of 15 seconds morale lockout at any time. At the end of any amount of Fear effect the player will be granted immunity from Fear for twice the amount of time they were Feared.

SM, BW, BO, KOTBS M4 drains now cause 3 stacks Fear immidiatly.

Imo itd be better if theu just did away with morale pumps/drains altogether. Then its fair on all sides xD

Not really. Realms arn't created equally. Order generally have better skills and tactics for gruop utillity while Destro realm is more based on starting out weaker but regen Morale faster.

Percentage have chance management to it to were if you are able to perform 4 hits on one and the same target you are statisticly likly to get the outcome you want and the same thing as a defender were you can prevent the statistic liklyhood that something happen to you if you interupt it. The chance aspects is good for the sake that it's not a guaranteed outcome and there by not always favours those in BiS gear and highest renown rank.

So, if i understood it correctly, u want to balance game in a way, where lower RR and worse geared side can beat higher RR and better geared side by Randomness of Proc Ability ? HELL NO to that my friend, specially if its attached to Abilities.

So based on the less than 48 hours since patch changes, did you already count the handful of the dps RPs draining Destro, the possible sighting of an aoe specced WH and the amount of SnB utility specced tanky SMs draining people? :D
The amount of maras seems same as usual, but I don't think there is any massive draining going on yet that would somehow doom the whole destro realm...
Or didn't you just write a few weeks ago that you aren't even really playing the game?

Using Morales is not a random/chance proc, so its not balanced that way.

Im not playing. Havn't really tested the changes either and I actually like them in theory. Any focus that aims to increase the warband vs realm experience is good imo.
This is a brand new reflection where I asked myself, "What happens if Morale drains just prevents both realms from ever using Morales. It creates a game where you don't get to use tools you have. Essentially you could just black out Morales from ORVR. I've always been bothered pre built morales aswell, and thats something that Morale drains can't really deal with. So I tought of a sollution of how it all could be solved.
