Need some kind of proof on that side, done the tests myself that parced 2h as superior but these were 5 years ago and the data is long gone. Could we summor Azarael to help us on this matter if possible :3Redsun wrote:Scrilian wrote: No, dw deals less damage that 2h because of off hand proc being not guaranteed, thats how it was on live.
The only thing that could put dw sometimes ahead is sorc buff proc on off hand, but only by max ~5%, and 2h crits tend to be more spiky.
I had done many dps tests on live with Choppa and Slayer as well as other people...
DW was always more total damage over time and the 2hand had more burst. (mostly because of the first AA or if the weapon was very slow)
However the difference is small and I wouldn't spec the one or the other based on flat dps.
Future buffs for choppa?

Re: Future buffs for choppa?
Not a steel proof, but I remember most of 80+rr slayers with dual on scenes. I think it's not just because. Again as far as I remember many melee builds include auto attack builds with duals from slayers and witch hunters.Scrilian wrote:Need some kind of proof on that side, done the tests myself that parced 2h as superior but these were 5 years ago and the data is long gone. Re: Future buffs for choppa?
Slayers ran dual wield because of Inevitable Doom.
Re: Future buffs for choppa?
Differences between 2h and dual wield...dual wield - 10 % parry, faster but weaker aa's, 2h - 10% block strike through, slower but bigger aa's.
Reason u saw so many dual wield slayers is because path of skavensplitter is the superior dps spec and your main damaging skill "Inevitable doom" requires dual wield.

Re: Future buffs for choppa?
Well, duh, ID deals great amount of damage and it requires dw. Still want some dev attention to clarify the matter, wink-wink
