This skills is one of the most useless skills I've ever seen. It fails 90% of the time, regardless on who I cast it on, I don't know if this is caused by the enormous delay between using the skill and the animation. Also the knockback range is so short that it's amusing.
I don't know if that skill is supposed to be defensive but it doesn't even knockback the people out of melee range, comparing to destro tanks' mega knockback that sends you flying over 9000 yards or zealots perma knockback that locks you down for over 5 seconds.
Would it be possible to increase the range so at least ppl are knocked back out of my melee range? When I knockback a witch elf she's still hitting me from the position where she lands. When Zealot gets close to me and knocks me back I am send flying like 5 ft, then another 5 ft, then another 5 ft... Now this is imba skill, 6s of cc when everyone can hit me as he wishes. And only 26s of cd + it seems the 1,5 s immunity is never granted.
I don't know, at the moment I stopped using it- waste of ap. Better to use it up on snares, detaunt and self heals when running away. Is there some special way to use the rune of sundering or is it only for the purpose of throwing people off the ledges? Even this is hard with the range it has.

Re: [Runepriest] Rune of Sundering
It always knocks people out of melee range for me at least, and it isn't supposed to be a mega punt, can give you a couple of GCD's of people not hitting on you to relieve some pressure though.
As far as it not working 90% of the time goes, make sure you're keeping track of immunities/people on RD.

Re: [Runepriest] Rune of Sundering
The ability works fine for me. Just like with all your offensive abilities you should pop Rune of Breaking before using them to avoid being disrupted. The knockback is the same as any healers with the exception of Winds of Insanity, the zealot multi knock back that they have to spec into to use and IS NOT baseline. The other thing to note about this ability is that it will NOT knockback enemies with immunities up. Which tends to happen more than not due to players spamming useless CC such as blorc and SM aoe punt, rdps roots, etc.vove wrote:This skills is one of the most useless skills I've ever seen. Re: [Runepriest] Rune of Sundering
Yeah, I know that wind of insanity is from mastery, I could spend points to get such skill as it is really op.
Most frustrating is when witch elf gets me -_- Rune of Sundering isn't worth a thing then, really rustles my jimmies. I guess I'll have to roll with how it works but it is really useless most of the time. I only find it useful to throw people of the edges because as defensive mechanics it failed me many many times.
And yes, I realize that if someone is immune to knockback the knockback won't work on him but thanks for the info captain

Re: [Runepriest] Rune of Sundering
Trust me I feel your pain as well. Best you can do is spec defense so that you live through the WEs burst and can kite away, no snare from them. And Winds of Insanity isn't great. Trust me it gets the zealot killed more often than not in T4. Best thing to do is keep moving at all times so its hard to open on you before you detaunt.vove wrote:Yeah, I know that wind of insanity is from mastery, I could spend points to get such skill as it is really op.

Didn't mean to imply you didn't know those things btw. Just covering my basis to be as helpful as possible if you didn't.

No worries, any help is welcome! Besides maybe in the future some will find that topic and will be something new, who knowsTklees wrote:Didn't mean to imply you didn't know those things btw. Just covering my basis to be as helpful as possible if you didn't.

I will just add that even if enemy is immune to knockback skill itself is still kind of useful as it interrupts current build up so I guess it is a little bit useful as an aoe casting interruption, even on enemies with immunity.
Re: [Runepriest] Rune of Sundering
The witch elf could be using the disruption buff to avoid the knock back.
Khorlar, Thorvold, Sjohgar, Anareth, Toldavf, Hartwin, Gotrin and others -_-

Re: [Runepriest] Rune of Sundering
They get knocked back back but the range is so low that they still keep on hitting me.Toldavf wrote:The witch elf could be using the disruption buff to avoid the knock back.
