Sound settings

Yet another thing that's been bugging me for almost as long as I've played WAR - sounds of battle being one with the sounds of the environment. (not sure if I'm being clear here)
For example, I'd farm unicorns in Avelorn for the ToK unlock - the sounds of the forest were soothing and sweet, while the sound of my Engi throwing stuff and shooting away and cursing would ruin the "camping" experience.
Sooo is there a way to make those two types of sound effects separate, so I could adjust their volume in a way that would leave the noise out and only leave the environment?

You can change the sound effects and leave the music on. Mute sound effects, that should do the trick.

'Effects volume' regulates both environment effects and ability/combat/yelling-grunting effects. What I meant is whether it is possible to make environment sounds separate from all the rest.

I'll hang around for an actual dev's opinion, if that's okay.

I'm pretty sure sound controls are complete client side. The devs are working on the server. Altering the client means, that they have to distribute some kind of patch to every user (not only the server).
It is probably also a good way to bring in some new bugs to fix:D
