So, you get points for killing in an SC. That's fine an all, to a point. As it is, objectives are 100% pointless. Spending time running to an objective instead of trying to kill squishys is a complete waste of time and effort, and often your team will lose regardless of dominating objectives, simply because the other team continuously camps anyone without a lot of armour on your team. This completely destroys the point of SCs and makes them incredibly boring when it's just who can zerg the squishys the best. A team shouldn't be able to get over 100 points before capturing a single objective within a minute of the match starting because there's a few too many low levels who don't have good enough gear to participate.
I don't know what the current exact amount a team gets per kill, but it looks to be about 3-5, which is FAR too high. 1 is even too high honestly, it should be a small boost, not something that can completely cause you to win by a landslide when you never captured a single objective. It just makes every SC the same, instead of each being abit different and fun.
Of course, this is all my opinion, perhaps others enjoy not focusing on objectives and I can't fault them for that *shrug*.
Kill points in SC's is far too high.

Re: Kill points in SC's is far too high.
Isn't it only 5 points for a kill on maps where a deathball isn't used?
Not that gamebreaking.
Besides if there's enough easy targets to farm 100 points that fast then you wouldn't be holding BO's anyway if they actually tried for them because they'd just steamroll you there too.

If they are getting more points from kills that objectives is usually fault of "Rektaurus" the slayer who somehow managed to die 12 times while attacking a chosen.
Its not the system fault that some people dont understand how the game works.

Re: Kill points in SC's is far too high.
It is if the system is in a spot where players can just abuse it. Once again, all objectives captured, lose by 230 points. This is NOT fun. At this rate my best bet would be to grab 3 friends and just wolfpack with white lions racking up wins by just sending the lion at whoevers squishyest. This is so anti-fun.
Re: Kill points in SC's is far too high.
The point is, that the ones providing those insane points are not the ones who benefit - if there's an abuse, it's by the losing side, that doesn't get objectives

You lose, because you get killed, spending points to the winning side. You cap objectives, avoiding the fight. You have to fight.
Giving more rewards to capping leads to the same behavior you see in RvR all the day, which is locking different zones. The only ones who fight at this point are premades.
The objectives are better used to speed up the match. They become important, when both sides are equal. I think it is fair.

Re: Kill points in SC's is far too high.
it works in a way that rewards the team that is fighting and winning the fights, rather than the onesavoiding fights and capping empty flags. That is not to say that there is no merit to ninja tapping but it should not be the most rewarding strategy.

Re: Kill points in SC's is far too high.
Not to sound rude, but what game are you playing? Ive been in those groups where you just spawn camp and ignore the objectives (ie tor anroc), mostly because im too tired/lazy to pick it up myself, and you NEVER get to 500 points only on kills. Ever. You might "win", as in have more points than the other side, but you will barely get to 200, which is far less rewarding than hitting 500 as far as medallions/xp goes.
Seriously, if anything it needs to be increased. Scenarios need points to have some kind of objective, instead of them all being 100% deathmatches, but the point of the game is still to pvp, not to avoid players and cap flags all day long.

Re: Kill points in SC's is far too high.
There wouldn't be ninja capping if objectives mattered and people actually bothered to defend them instead of deathballing on every map they are winning on :^)
I like all types of game modes, variety is nice but it does pretty much feel like every map is a pseudo free for all DM because who honestly cares if you lose 500-300 if you got 43 kills vs their 4.
That said until scenarios start actually mattering instead of being a minigame separate of the campaign or having some kind of MMR/ladder system I don't see what changing anything will do but upset the "muh PvE in SC" kiddies.

you should actually try this hyperbole and let us all know how it turns out.PresTzeentch wrote:It is if the system is in a spot where players can just abuse it.
