Hmmmm.... That could be interesting... Would "guard" not show as a mitigation? I assume it would just be dodge/disrupt/block/Parry etc etc....

I guess you could in theory have TWO columns:
- Damage Taken
- Damage Mitigated

That could end up being a positive...

I dont get why people would be against this... Yes, In real PMs or groups you dont (I dont) really look at the end stats. But there are ALOT of people that do, and care too!

So if those played DONT care, then they shouldnt care who gets the DB.... But they do! They shouldnt care if they removed total damage, or total healing, but people would QQ about that....

All I am saying is if people want more tanks, tanking... and less DPS tanks.... Right now showing DBs and damage generally pushes people to want to excel in what is tracked...

If you made "damage taken" and "damage mitigated" two additional columns, now tanks are going to try and get high in those categories.... I can see Praags where people say "I took 100k and mitigated another 100k!" It would put emphasis on tanking, rather than damage.....

Trust me... it would create positive behavior towards the roll of tanking.

I mean rather than saying "I'm OP and the best BRO close the SB and 6 man with me" ... "Oh!!!! and L2P brah"

- It is a good suggestion to promote people to actually guard. I've played T3 order and destro SC's quite a bit. You definitely learn a LOT of basics in SC's and can do a lot of fine tuning in there as well. I won't get into skill/coordination compared to other game types, but rather than brushing this off

MAYBE try and see if it is possible? :) - All the L2P tanks will not look anyway b/c they are amazing and obviously know they are the best. Newer players working on swapping guards and trying to see if they are doing a good job will get better/learn.

Absolutely no harm can come from this. But seeing how a lot of SC suggestions that are goood ideas get shot down (renown gain) - I'll cross my fingers on this one and hope for the best. Really good idea though.

I just only see positive from doing something like this....

Is it needed? No... Neither are death blows, or total damage, or total healing, blah blah. But people are incentivized by what metrics you throw up at the end... I cant tell you how many times I have been in SCs with a good group, many times premades, and people brag at the end about death blows, DPS, total healing etc etc.

So you sit back, as a tank, and say "oh yeah man, I guarded you so good that game". but get drowned out by people talking about how pro their damage was. Or how much they outhealed the other TEAM.... etc etc....

I always thought damage mitigated would be a good stat. In World of Tanks you get stats on blocked damage and potential damage taken (not actual...potential)
