Exp for Scenarios

I suggest that you guys put in exp for Scenarios soon.
Maybe it's just me but i feel not many people are playing for the pve and only want to pvp, it's the same for me, i really would love to play but i hate pve and having only pve to lvl i... i just can't do it.
I know it's an Alpha but i don't mean to offend anyone if i say: "Warhammer is a pvp game and the lvling through pvp is in my eyes one of the most important things."

Grettings from Germany and sorry if my English is bad.

Agreed from a different perspective. Without any motive to play the scenario as designed, Nordenwatch in particular becomes a linear battle from Warcamp A to Warcamp B.

Frankly, it was that way a lot of the time on live, too, usually with one utility/low dps player slipping off to flip an objective. ;)
Playing from Canada. Melee latency is real.

Could kill that with exponential capturing time.

Not exactly the thread subject, but those are my ideas for capture the flag scenarios:

- a scenario win with 500 points should give a huge amount of renown
- make capturing objectives the only way to get points to win the scenario (kills give renown, but no win-points)
- flags should be captured faster, when more players capture them
- after capturing a flag and no friendly player is in range, a hidden timer starts to run; when the timer reaches 0, the flag is uncaptured
- the timer runs faster for the side that has more players (bigger difference = faster timer)
- the timer kicks in only if a side has more than one flag captured

Maybe not perfect but better than vanilla WAR, where short after the beginning of the sc the dominating side farmed the other side right before their spawnpoint. This is boring for both sides. :)

I agree. Trying to level through the PvE was not my cup of tea. In vanilla WaR, I leveled several characters almost exclusively though SCs. Everything else was just dead and boring (unless there was an RvR going on). Plus there's a huge disadvantage for the lower levels until they get enough levels to get their spells and gear. Making it easier to level would even things out quickly.

Also, just a side note, there should be the option to turn off XP gains so that you can keep a character in a tier if you don't want them to move on.

*Facepalm* :x
It really frustrates me to no end how people will boast about this being worth for RVR only! I won't give a rant about the importance of PVE in this game's history. I can respect people who only play this for it's RVR. But if you try to convince me that PVE has no value, then you certainly are not playing this for it's value of being Warhammer.

There is one thing to be said for those who don't get alot of time in real life to spend chunks of game time, leveling a character. This I understand. But when I hear (and I do within Advice Chat ect) "I want to do Scenarios, not boring leveling. Leveling sucks and I can't be bothered! Why is this hard? I need this to be fun, now, now, NOW! F*** it! RAGE QUITTING TIME!!!" ... it makes me not want to assist people, something that I can enjoy doing too.
But I am talking about impatience, where these arguements about RVR is opinions. WAR for the longest that I have witnessed, is split much like the factions of Destro/Order, us and them between those of RVR only and RVR/PVE. Play it your own way, I am usually fine with people doing so, but boasting that PVE has no value is just plain ignorance. PVE is a fundamental part of this game, one I hope will return to it's former glory!
BUT ...

The thread is ACTUALLY about the importance of XP currently in-game, a topic I DO support!
WAR did always have an XP gain in RVR, but it was of only 1/3 of the XP gained from PVE NPC kills. I believe it is very much sound, that we do see this return from RVR kills also. It would indeed ease the current grind in PVE for people, whether they are PVE supporters are not, the XP was something that was in-place from beforehand. This would boast a bit more morale in people to play this game again too for those that are RVR loyalists in particular.
This idea has my vote. ;)

P.S. I'm really not interested in your views about my rant above. Just know that I support all aspects of this game and their return. That is all.

Publicly posting a rant in red text and then telling people not to respond to it isn't exactly great form.
