Rotating tier bonuses

Hello,

I think most people realize that T1 Dwarf and Elf zones are dead in terms of RvR. But I think there is an opportunity that, with the help of Debolster, we can not only make the 'alternate' T1 zones more active, we can also help revitalize T2 and T3 RvR.

The major problem with RvR in RoR is that there is no incentive to go back to the lower tiers and participate in oRvR so why not add some incentive? I propose the following:

Rotating zone bonuses:

Each week(or weekend ala WoW weekend BG bonuses) a selected racial zone (I.E. Dwarf/Ork, Elves, etc) will give a bonus amount of Influence, Experience and Renown for participating in that particular zone:

This would work similarly to the 'Against All Odds' buffs you receive for fighting in an RvR pool while outnumber but instead of getting you for being outnumbered, you would get it for being in the current weeks(or weekends) bonus racial zone.

Now for the important part. In T4 this system could be exploited by simply keep/kill swapping for an easy RR grind. Therefore, rather than a general bonus buff, T4 will yield extra XP, RR and Inf ONLY for locking zones. This reward would also extend to the defeated faction, but on a diminished scale. So, for instance, if Destruction locks a zone and gets X amount of Renown, Order will receive perhaps half that amount and visa versa.

Flavor could be added to these events for lore purposes. For instance, if it is Ork/Dwarf week, it is because Grimgor has called a 'WAAAGH'. For the humans, it is because Karl Franz is launching a counter attack, etc. Perhaps even quests can be added for even more incentive. Earn trophy token for participating in so many bonus weekends, etc.

Now for the second part of this system.

Zone fluidity:

Give more incentive for players to go back to previous tiers through the debolster system to revitalize Tiers 2 and 3.

First, section the tiers into group:

Tiers 1 and 2 will be 'group 1'
Tiers 2 and 3 will be 'group 2'
Tiers 3 and 4 will be 'group 3'

Players in each of these groups can participate in any of their respective tiers, lock zones within those tiers and receive bonus XP, RR and Inf.

For instance, a level 5 and a level 17 would both have an incentive to participate T1 and T2 open RvR by receiving those tiers rewards and benefiting from the bonuses received by locking the zone. If a level 5 helps lock a T2 zone or a lvl 17 locks a T1 zone, they will receive a buff that boosts XP, RR, and Inf.

I'm basically proposing that we 'Smoosh' the 4 RvR tiers into 3.

I understand this would be a huge underpinning and completely change the dynamic of the game but maybe with some tweaks to this suggestion (or a whole new suggestion altogether) we can breath more life into the mid-tiers and make more use of the real estate we see once while were leveling and never see again once we reach R40.

You are through a tier in a week so it would make it even harder to get inf elsewhere. Really I dont want the t4 gank groups coming to the lower tiers where I go to escape that kind of gameplay.
Id prefer having only one t1 zone open at a time and merging t2 and t3 so once a t2 zone is locked the t3 racial zones open.

I like that suggestion.

It's definitely less complicated lol

The problem with t1 is that emp/chaos is a lot easier to navigate and you can just go to fest and have an orgy. Elf/Dwarf are sort of a pain, but it would be nice to see the bonuses rotate again. If emp/chaos locks, then force the action to elf/dwarf.
