Currently, the aoe cannon damage at sieges is way over the top when the numbers of attackers and defenders at a keep are fairly even. This makes the fight much too easy for the defenders. So the attackers quickly give up and a potentially interesting fight is curtailed.
At the same time, a zerg can still fairly easily overpower the defenders at keeps when there is a lot of aao.
To remedy these problems, why not have cannon damage scale with aao to make it more effective against the zerg but less effective when numbers are more even. When AAO is zero, let cannons do half of their current damage. Then let the damage scale with aao up to a maximum of about 1.2 times the current value. This will help to make the fights at keep sieges more even and, hopefully, more enjoyable for all.
Let siege weapon damage scale with AAO

Re: Let siege weapon damage scale with AAO
ITT OP wants to make it even more difficult to attack keeps. Half-damage at even-numbers? Why even bother then? Any kind of balance around such a fluctuating variable such as AAO is a rather poor idea.
No thanks.
