And peter before you ramble on as you do about pugs v premades im often in premades but i dont have the same desire to farm the **** out of players who are having a tough time.
Take your bro for example, i have been solo on both sides and seen him in serpents passage have a group member or friend hold the objective so the sc will only end when the time runs out so he can farm the **** out of randoms, this hardly encourages ppl to play the game does it, if anything it pushes them away and creates more hate towards those who are interested in a more serious type of gameplay.
i do a lot of 1v1 actually but cheers. scenarios aren't for duos or solo players; they're for groups. learn to form a group.
My bro will go afk during pug farming scenarios, you know how I know? Because 9 times out of 10 I'm doing scens with him so don't appreciate you using hearsay as an argument.
i have no desire to farm unfortunate players which is why my only real interest in this game is 6v6 (as is dalgri's, my guildie). you throwing the 'pug stomp' crap at me is funny considering i was with you in a premade and all you wanted to do was farm scraps from the order zerg in rvr. if you actually knew me, you'd know that pug stomp/boring scens is the last thing i care for.

Re: Balance premade and random teams
Its very easy to just post "its no fun when there is no challenge" (just for example, not mentioned to quote peter) etc. but how many times when one side was heavily dominating in sc you have seen this side to get bored and just head to take objectives to end this boring no challenging sc? some might act like this, some might act different. but without any collected data its all just crap without any way to check if players are posting truth or just bullshit.
by making 1 sc to be grp queue only for lets 1 month and then just check how many times it actually started, number of players queued for this sc and how long it took to start a sc (if its possible to gather these data) might show devs and community how strong is "premade side" of playerbase and if they actually dislike so much being in scs vs. non-premade
depending on these data it might show devs if playerbase is actually interested in playing scenarios from grp pov or if its just random queue while doing other things or just solo queue for chance to farm currency etc.
If pop would be solid, it might lead to more scenarios being grp queue only.
If pop would be horrible it might show players 6v6 isnt that popular at all.

There is nothing special in forming groups. and there is a lot of people around who plays solo. Me for example, i do not like play in group.peterthepan3 wrote:@guy above morfeeMorf wrote:You wana know why alot of players are hostile towards premades ? and I think scenarios will pop up be more often if all go solo, than groups. and would be even more frequent pop up, if people go solo or in pairs.
The only reason that people like you against its being for solo/pairs, it is because you do not like and do not know how to take defeat. And your only goal in the game - to humiliate someone. You are one of those who wrote the EZ, even if the enemy had no healer, it was the PUG and you had premade.
Re: Balance premade and random teams
@powerheads
do you know how peter plays? do you know his grp, what scenarios they join, what enemies they fight and how they behave? Because I do not so I try to avoid any personal attacks or pointing fingers.
And you are wrong. Very very wrong. In scenarios there are 2 options how to join sc - solo or grp. And there is no "higher skill" for joining solo because it isnt solo game. Even when u are the best player ever to be born in known universe at all times, you would still make small difference in 12v12 or even in 6v6 scenarios. Same as grp of soloers that are good players will struggle against coordinated grp. Same as uber premade will make a small difference in orvr when not coordinated with others.

Dont give me that bs, i have seen this myself, Dalgri has also been there guarding your bro, i asked like 10 times stop wasting everyones time and drop the part, he and his group had no desire to end the torture but to continue farming kills.peterthepan3 wrote: My bro will go afk during pug farming scenarios, you know how I know? Dont really care if i upset you are dalgri tbh all both of you seem to do is make out your so much better then the average player then cry when ppl direct hate towards you or when devs make decisions that are not aimed towards the 1% but to the 99%, you aint fooling anyone man.
There is a difference between rvr and sc's, when you roam as a 6 in rvr as you did with us you have the possibility of bumping into 2 players/6 players/12 players/24 players and so on, when you kill these players they spawn a far distance away so they dont get continuously farmed by the same players for 15 minutes over and over(like sc's) and given the outcome of rvr fights are hit and miss as you can get run over by a zerg this is why the likes of you dont enjoy rvr because these players you look down on are more then capable of beating you with numbers not skill.
Anyway my point stands, players are hostile and hate on premades because they look down on casuals/pugs with no understanding of there situation and take the opportunity to farm said players when they get the chance to, not all but a select few, these select few give a bad rep to players who play competitively.

Re: Balance premade and random teams
ELO Matchmaking rarely works in games, partly because people learn to game the system and also there are too many other issues, population + archetypes + group Q vs Solo Q.
Seperating Qs will not work, because then every group Q SC becomes Caledor Woods where only a few groups actually Q it. And it would have the effect of dumbing down the game where some of the group players will start to solo Q because it's fast and easy.
I get that we need casuals for the game's population but I think it's better if players are guided towards playing in groups, both by the playerbase and the game itself. Why can't casuals group?
What about a casual premade Q that works something like a dungeoun Q in games where you Q up for a certain role? This Q would be a Q for a group and not for a SC, after the group is formed they can Q for SC. That way you have three ways to Q SC, Premade group, Qed "casual" group, and solo. Obviously this casual group would have to wait a little while for members, but at least it would guide players towards better play and not try to solve the problem by dumbing the whole thing down.

show me a screenie then. if you group with korze, you'll see 9 times out of 10 he just afks in those sorts of scenarios - ask any of us who actually, y'know, play with him.Morf wrote:Dont give me that bs, i have seen this myself, Dalgri has also been there guarding your bro, i asked like 10 times stop wasting everyones time and drop the part, he and his group had no desire to end the torture but to continue farming kills.peterthepan3 wrote: My bro will go afk during pug farming scenarios, you know how I know? more strawman blablabla. never said anything of the sort. we have different opinions and you immediately tar us with the 'elitist!' brush, nice one *golfclap* that weren't predictable at all. difference between your ilk and me/dalgri is that we believe everyone should be able to have fun in the game (as you do), but provided they put some bloody effort into it. too much care bearing going on which could be easily resolved on an individual level, that's just the truth.
nah if anything players just don't like dying to more organised teams: you only have to watch kweedko's stream, or join a scenario as a premade and do nothing but win the game and 99% of the time you'll have some smartass make a jibe against premades at the game's conclusion. WAR is salty as hell compared to many other games.
