Thank you for all you RoR staff have done, and continue to do on your own. It can't be said enough that while yours is the thankless job, a LOT are very appreciative of all your hard work thus far. I for one would like to say everyone take a breath and step away, find another game to fill in (yes I know nothing compares) until the RoR team has it back up and running. Thanks again and look forward to seeing everyone in RoR when able.

No, this is the nature of troubleshooting. When they succeed in identifying the exact cause of the problem then they can fix it. until that happens there is no way to predict how long it will take.

For myself, thanks to all the RoR team. I cannot imagine all the work it takes to keep this thing running! But this game really is amazing and I am so thankful to be able to play again after all these years! I just wish there was some way I could help! Keep up all the good work!

PS I will be on vacation till 11 Aug so you have that long to fix it!! ;)
I smash things on Bolimor (WP)

Ironically this is the time of my vacation and I was hoping the server would be up in time, haha.

But no pressure guys! It's sunny outside so I don't need yet another reason to stay indoors. :D

FYI and to be clear, last time i checked how many different IP was DDOSing the server, the number was...
...

...
...
(supsense inside)
...
...
...

...
...

...
more than 3600 over the last 5 min.

We are not expert in DDOS, but we might have a solution (that we will test this week hopefully). It's not sure that this solution will solve definitively the problem, but it should work for now.
To be honest, we had some problems with our future hosting company with some rentals, and it took about a week to have everything in our hands. We have what we need now, but need some more time to put things up, and test if it's working fine.
The first solution we tried had a bandwidth problem between app server and db server. That's why we have to test something else, and why it takes so much time.

We'll keep you informed as soon as we have something working, even if not accessible for everyone.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop, it's much appreciated. I'd rather wait another two weeks to come back to a stable(ish) server than log in just to be disconnected every now and then.

1st rule of Warhammer - noone can leave Warhammer.
2nd rule of Warhammer - everyone return to Warhammer.
3rd rule of Warhammer - playing other MMO's during break isn't cheating to Warhammer.

thank you for making this post, it feels polite and nice to have someone just saying this.
i cant really understand either how people can miss the big "DOWN" sign at the very first page. but i guess its just because they are so eager to play. i hope everything will sort itself out as soon as possible. and that not any of you working on this gets worn out or feel less love towards it. have an awesome summer regardless! :D
