They drastically change the nature of any encounter from small scale solo / group roaming, all the way up to warband vs warband fights.

RD and Cleansing wind are near mandatory. It is very, very hard to not spec them, as they are often the difference between life and death.

Honestly I half expect a FULL server wipe once they get the server to the point of where they "want it" in terms of balance. This way it brings in NEW players who won't feel like they stand no chance, old players who know they'll hit the top of the ranks the fastest, and those who simply can't put the game down one way or the other and play for their enjoyment.

Remember this is ALPHA.

rd is an abomination on certain classes with certain gear.

With out count that going with the crit meta of order, order have more point to spent in renown and of course broken stuff that all can take but only 1 side have the points to take give you a huge advantage.
why?

because all order tank are block based so = more points
because order have 10% CRIT HEALS for free so this is like 30 free renown point.

30 **** RENOWN POINTS!!!!!

and it's just 1 tactic

its a bad way to look at things, you are trying to put a value on a tactic by just looking at the stats it gives you and using Renown points as your quantifier. On the other hand as an example you can't put a value based on R.points on tactics such as the tank morale pumps for destro (as they don't have a baseline stat value grounded in Renown points) on both chosen and BO and the cycling of m4s that results from that.

Removing RD/CW only cripples small groups/guilds in rvr and promotes zerg

i see no problem if your left RD and CW ingame but with only 1 level maximum to purchase


a 10 rr investment for a 5 min CD ability seems fair

I dislike it because of the lack of counter-play & randomness. When you're fighting and trying to bring down a target, is he going to just magically purge all your debuffs/go immune when your tank uses KD because he happened to use renown abilities that are impossible to tell this player has beforehand? Or maybe he did have it, but just didnt use it because it was on cooldown because he used it while fighting at some random spot a few minutes before.

I kinda lol when people say it's a counter play and randomness.

ye i can cos order have moral boost on am for tanks and bw can use their own for throw rainbow with their m2, since that wondwrfully m4 on ror do not reducea morales damages. Meanwhile destru have 0 crits heal tactic to gi e 30 renown points to everyone lol.
Meanwhile order can also go anti crit since we have lower value then them while destru cannot go crit damages reduction since TB is not implemented, i cannot even spec hardly concession since is not implemented so due to difference in spec cost destru is penalized by at least 30 renown point
