Hello ,in Dark age of camelot we had the ability to turn off exp/rps so you could stay in battlegrounds etc as long as you wanted..
so I'm asking if its possible that we could implement the same thing really, for example so once I get level 11 , and renown cap for T1 . I can /exp off and /rp off . allowing me to remain in Tier1. same thing would go for T2/T3..
I'm asking about this because I only really liked the tier1 pvp and scenarios.. it was most fun.
Thanks.
Implemention: /exp off - /rp off

Not a bad idea at all.
But you still can debolster if you want to stay on a specific tier.
It's just a little more complicated than turn off exp/rp

Re: Implemention: /exp off - /rp off
There's a thing called debolster on RoR. If you type ".ror debolster" in /say and follow the instructions you will be able to stay in the tier of your choice. However you cannot queue for the scenarios in that tier. I can't see an option for that being something devs would implement but I honestly have no idea so nevermind me.
Re: Implemention: /exp off - /rp off
While debolster is somewhat useful, the ability to simply turn off gains would be preferable. Especially considering that for example debolstering in T1 along with gear and talisman restrictions also limits you to level 9 which, lets be honest is a huge gimp factor for certain classes vs others. Prime example would be WE and WH not even having access to stealth, while other classes are not lacking one of their main mechanics.
For me as an NA player, the population during my playtime is pretty abysmal in T2 and T3 and there is practically nothing happening in RvR so I am usually resorting to playing in T1 since there is at least a little bit of RvR going on there. Would be nice to be able to have a couple characters that I can just switch to for some T1 fun instead of having to constantly respec, carry extra gear, etc to be able to use one of my main characters in T1 for any chance at RvR.
Not only that but there's also the fact that if one of my characters is a scavenger or butcher, doing any amount of decent farming for materials can pretty severely screw up your XP to RR ratio and only results in being gimped even further once hitting T4. Being able to turn off XP gains would allow us to farm as much as we want without worrying about gimping your XP / RR levels.

We chose debolster over exp-off to avoid super twinks running around in every tier.
Pretty much always afk or tabbed out.

Yeah , I just learned about the debolstering earlier which is actually great i agree 100% with the way it works as well.
I just wish it was easier to find out about it .. I hope the Devs can find a way to have newbs find out about debolstering easier so more people (if they choose) can stay in tier1 tier2 etc.

I'm going to make a separate post about that actually as well.

Which is generally good, but maybe reconsider upping T1 limit from lvl 9 to lvl 10.Druin wrote:We chose debolster over exp-off to avoid super twinks running around in every tier.

This would be a good start. As a mentioned, some classes such as WE and WH are very gimped by stopping at 9 while others arent losing out on important mechanics for their class. with the inability to use talismans, limits on RR, and no mastery point, debolstered vs a full level 10-11 still puts you at a slight disadvantage, but not while stripping you of core skills. Stats-wise, a non-debolstered toon with a few talismans equipped will still win out, so super twinks are still not an issue.sotora wrote:Which is generally good, but maybe reconsider upping T1 limit from lvl 9 to lvl 10.Druin wrote:We chose debolster over exp-off to avoid super twinks running around in every tier.
Re: Implemention: /exp off - /rp off
I think that debolster to natural top of tier shouldn't be as highly controlled as it is now. If I were to tweak debolster I'd like to see a return to debolstering to 11/21/31 with a restriction on Item Level and talisman rarity.
