The game was never lore friendly you couldnt keep greenskins from attacking their allies after a fight. I dont see why this server needs to be and I was a huge TT nerd.

First: Blackguard in lore use Glave in "regiments"
Second: If you all think that 2h sword for Blackguard is "Bleee" and "Ughh my lorehammer hurts", just look into Warhammer FB (Search in google: Warhammer Fantasy Battle Blackguard) and tell me, what a weapon is in hand of every Champion of Blackguard Regiment? Oh, 2h sword? Realy?:)
I think that for 30+ lvl Blackguard 2h swords visual is Lorefriendly and nice to see in game.
PS: Y, I play blackguard and I want 2h sword for him too ^ ^

In these days, Old World is dead, Age of Sigmar is on the way, so i postulate to stop "talibslorenism", and go to way o rationalism. if Orcs loot a Cold One, why they cant ride on them ( if first dont eat these fats, delicIousy lizards), or why maras cant use apperances of chosens, or even some pieces of empire equipment. Marauders doing amrudering , for god sake, so plunder, steals, abduct. Ok, i can resignate for rapes but only for exception:))

Because this still isn't our IP, and regardless of what the IP holders choose to do with it, it remains their property. We will represent it in a safe manner.

If you can demonstrate that BGs use two-handed swords in the lore, and an appropriate animation set exists, there is no problem with allowing them.

Thier are not very many 2h dark elf sword weapon models ingame anyway as far as well bar the dreal Icehearts sword

As for animations, we all remeber when alt appearance let you use 2h sword in 1 handed slots and stuff , how the games animation would use the same animation across the same race I.e de and he shared the same animations

The animations exist. There was a LotD Tomb spear/halberd that looked like a sword, and the animations were fine. I assume they use SM 2H-sword animations? Dunno.

The picture shown above is that of the BG unit champion. Also note the armour was the unreleased T7 armour

Unit champions much of the time may use different weapons/ magical weapons in lieu of the unit's standard load out.
In terms of table top this is usually a "Count's as" unless the champion specifically has a magic weapon.

Black Guard are supposed to use Halberds; never glaives, but as mentioned in my earlier post, being a black guard isn't what the WAR/RoR BG starts as. he is a DE warrior, that is clear in the Armour design and the spears that they use. BGs only become "Real BG" in late T3/early Tier 4. Much like chosen start as Warriors of Chaos and become Chosen in tier 4.

The weapon posted in the OP's post is the Draich and it is a weapon SPECIFICALLY used by the Dark Elf Executioners. I have no problem with a full appearance set allowing a BG to look like an executioner, that is one thing, but for 'every' BG to be considered to be a BG champion is a stretch. I would love to see alternate weapon option appearences for the BG, but when it comes to a 2h, I feel that should be a privilege not a right, something like BOSS WEAPONS for end game content might issue such a status as BG champion.

As for the Executioner garb, as mentioned, if a BG wishes to gain 'reputation' with the cult khaine in to get that armour set and weapon appearence I see no problem lore wise, given the bg goes from Dark elf warrior to Dark elf knight before finally becoming a "real BG" (especially given becoming a BG visually that matched that of the table top was only planned for the tier 7 armour)

I think the combination of spear and shield would bring a lot more to the actual class than having just another two-handed sword like most other classes. Regardless if it's after the lore or not.

I would be way more interested in dark elves being able to ride black/grey horses like they could in the fluff. It was only one regiment that rode the cold ones.
