Hoping for a fast answer from the devs, game is totally broken atm...
Sad thing it requires no skill at all, you just pick a target (guarded mara in monstro form) you go mad 9 sec on him and you win, without bother punting any tank nor coordinate moral dump or any kind of burst...
it's just constant flow of procs making insanely massive damage, destroying absolutely all the fun. Can't even think about the 6v6 event Sunday...
Finding the correct answer might require time, so maybe disable some stuff so we can play the game, because atm it's real sad

Cheers

People don't like losing so they are gonna adapt (hence why you see more of these groups), people who can't adapt are gonna complain. And I don't think it's fair to say it takes no skill. There is plenty involved when two of these groups meet each other.

I'm all for procs getting nerfed, our guild traditionally always ran 2-2-2 so transitioning is still an ongoing process and whatnot it would be easier if we could just go back to what we were running for sure and I actually don't have any proc meta characters at all right now on order.

But I don't see how going back to were we where is going to be any different in terms of meta groups destroying others than the TTK will be a bit lower. You follow the prescribed meta or you get crushed unless you totally outskill the other team whether it's the 3-2-1 proc groups or the 2-2-2 melee train meta.

I already said it in another thread, as long as deathmatch style gameplay is the main focus the meta is always going to be stale. Reason why virtually all popular/esports competitive video games are objective based (LOL. dota. csgo. starcraft etc...)

Here's why I think procs are about just as wrong as everything else in terms of balance. The balance in the game we have on RoR is from the latest version of Warhammer with a bunch of helpful changes from the devs. It's an alpha server. Balance hasn't even been addressed yet (much). People in top premades in melee trains were happily abusing the fact that WL and Mara armour debuffs were scaled according to old AoR. Ie.: those armour debuffs are way out of proportion for the current gear available in game. Just like the procs are out of proportion for current hp pools and healing. Now these WL and Mara premades got killed by a proc premades that may be slightly better but abuse the very same principle the armour debuffs were abusing. Suddenly massive butthurt and factually wrong bug reports ensued cause people died in PvP due to not having the best build available. Well tough luck. If you are going to argue that procs should get nerfed, then all abilties that depend on HP pool scaling, Armour scaling etc. with gear and RRs will need to get rebalanced every time new gear gets introduced. If we are to stay on this annihilator level for the next 6 months it may very well be worth to do that, if not, then not.

The above forms the core of my objection to game state changing with gear.

Azarael, with procs we can kill full def chosen with guard. Or Chosen with 4morale. New gear don't change nothing.

You can not see, how its break game, because u not play in group.

Erm, did I ever say this wasn't a problem or that I didn't intend to do anything about it? If you can find me saying that, please quote me on it.

My post above was agreeing with how balance changes when you pile on the gear and bonuses and whatnot, and so this problem was much less of one on live. I personally do not like power inflation and thus I would rather see something done about the procs now.

Thank you.
Also whenever we compare this problem currently with the problem on live, I remember that whenever fighting equally geared/skilled groups, damage was not really the issue since everyone had lotd pocket items, set m4s, lotd anti-crit capes, absorb pots & many other items on their disposal - hence why most kills were done by timing cc + burst correctly. Currently as Niky said, guarded defensive tanks melt under the pressure - there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about it, there's no level of skills or timing :/

Timing CC + burst still works independent of procs. Also don't act like there is 0 skill in procs: shattering becomes a must and if you don't reapply it at the right times you are running a gimped spec for no reason. And last if a defensive tank with a guard gets killed you should take a look at your healers lol, that shouldn't happen, not even with procs.

Guarded defensive tanks are melting aye? This discussion would be a lot more productive if people stopped spewing absolute garbage all over the place, because of their personal dislike of these builds. Check the Caledor Woods scoreboard Niky himself posted. The only person who died in that scenario was a slayer ONCE. A slayer died once in 15 MINUTES of 6v6 fighting. Clearly the defensive tanks are melting boys. Don't know whether to be angry at the quality of these posts anymore or just laugh at their ridiculous bias.
