Not just debolster...

I would love the option to turn off regular and renown exp altogether. The main reason would be to play scenarios in the tier of my choice. Many times the only activity I can find, or the activity I prefer is in T1, but I have to keep making new characters to play there. I would love the option to have a character that can always log in and find action in T1.

[EDIT: Below added from post below regarding twinks]

Consider:

a) Supertwinks in T1 already exist and at least now there would be others to counter them,
b) Both realms have the ability to twink, nullifying any advantage. This is often the defense given in response to complaints about the Eng/Mag buff ("Both sides have them, so they're not OP") and,
c) other restrictions could be imposed to prevent over-the-top twnking for anyone who has xp turned off that would affect only the twinkiest (i.e. limit 1 purple, etc)
d) the same arguments could have been made against debolstering, but restrictions were imposed and it seems to work

This would make an ideal situation for those that are fighting back and forth on T1, But keep in mind someone in T1 can become OP really fast.
The idea itself would be fun for those who prefer T1, T2, T3 and lock themselves within that bracket.
Keep in mind though they are working on a lot more than just bolster locks and whatnot

If people could just turn off XP when they wanted, we'd see T1 overflowing with supertwinks R11 unkillable beasts that ruin the fun for everyone except themselves. Some classes are just too powerful at r10/r11 and maxed in gear (DPS AM/Shammy, DPS WP/DoK, WE/WH come to mind).

The debolster mechanic probably puts you a bit behind where you'd ideally want to be, but it doesn't kill the fun for new people joining the game - which should be a priority with a private server like this.

Ofcourse, I had played WoW for along time since I was a teenager, now 27.. It grows boring really quickly, I'm not one to sit there and study and study a class and just get killed by someone who studied longer in their class.

I would like to see low level T1 Twinks though

I agree with Thelen though on the issue of immortal t1 chars lol

No, supertwinks don't exist. The T1 debolstered players are at a very reasonable level and don't need anything to "counter them". You're suggesting getting a fever to cure the cold.

Doesn't address at all the fact that this makes it unfair and unfun for new players just starting the game. It'll hurt the population for no gain.

We already have that with debolster.

Agreed, the debolster power level is perfect. I think it could probably have debolstered players at level 10, but even then I think you start seeing twink guilds ruining the experience.

In my opinion from what I've experienced, the people in favor of twinking just want to play god-mode against new/unexperienced players. If you truly enjoy T1, the current debolster mechanic should be fine.

This post is about scenarios which I clearly said I prefer. So your suggestion of being satsified with the current debolster availability is somewhat trolly since it doesn't work for scenarios.

In fact, we could even apply the current debolster mechanics and limitations to scenarios. Since the problems mentioned do not actually exist in debolstered open RvR, they would likewise not exist in scenarios (aside from any potential coding issue)

The team has already stated many times before that we currently do not want any twinks at all and as such this change will probably not happen.
