Magus demons don't do even a fraction of turrets damage.

It's true for pink horror/gun turret indeed.megadeath wrote:Magus demons don't do even a fraction of turrets damage.
The two other kind of turrets/daemons are pretty much the same.

Re: Hey GMs,what did you do with engineers???....
After living with this change for a bit now. I'm leaning on that the magus/engineer change is too much.
The magus/engineer prior to this change were decent. It takes a really good player to make them shine and they shine best not in a 6 man setting, which there are very few instances in this game that are purely 6 man. They were similar to the choppa. You need a group built around them to make them shine, they can't be thought of as just a addition. They are the star player. If your a horrible player prior to the changes the classes were broken as hell.
With these changes the really good players are flippin incredibly nasty now. The horrible players now can somewhat compete. It was never a face roll easy class and still isn't.
Go look at thorbolt. He was a monster prior to the changes. Now he's disgusting.
I still haven't completely thrown in the towel on this change yet. Although you can see where I'm leaning too. Maybe this change is for the good. I'm still unsure.

Well you may be right, with what you say, but that was with WL, BW, Sorc, Dok and a lot of other classes so all the time.... if you have one of the good player of that class in your sc, like Starilas, the Dok, Sekundus the Sorc or some others, we all kow them, you just lean back and enjoy the beating, trying to get around them and get at least some points. Now there are engis/magi who can become such players too.... I cant say if that is a good thing, but it is at least fair. (And yes there are players who can change the momentum of even a pug sc by their own.)footpatrol2 wrote:After living with this change for a bit now. It was like that prior to the change now its just more so.
Maybe for the good I dunno. I'm just a player and make my broad stroke observations.

I think we have to see... but as I said, I like magi being stronger. They arent just a sideshow to me anymore... before i killed most of them just for fun....footpatrol2 wrote:It was like that prior to the change now its just more so.

Re: Hey GMs,what did you do with engineers???....
It is a good thing that the Magus and Engi finally got some love and can be competitive in t4 beyond the pull bot spec or the AoE dot and run away spec.
As for the range;
The only time it comes into play is at keeps or BO's, or any static defensive battle. Both the Magus and Engi need time to set up, build their buffs, and then start fighting at long range. And if they move out of range of the Demon/Turret, they lose their buffs.
The problem people have with the range, is easily fixed. Everyone has learned what the "safe" range from keep walls is when attacking. Well this "safe" range has changed. Just get used to the new range and you will not be a target for the magus/engi.
And again ... in a fluid battle, the engi and magus have no buffs to damage and range.

It is very easy to adjust the buff. Keep it as it is on both En/Ma but dont give the range buff to the pets.
As said, the only place that will matter is keeps and there they perform well enough without the pet damage

Pet damage is a joke.Kattastrof wrote:It is very easy to adjust the buff. Keep it as it is on both En/Ma but dont give the range buff to the pets.

It is horrifically awful, especially on engi. The stat contribution is non existent, they get constantly dodged and disrupted. The engi pet has the additional weakness of being physical damage, meaning that any medium armor class and up mitigates the tiny damage it does.
At best, the pet does the damage of a weak dot. If you die to a pets damage it means that you need to seriously look at your gearing and renown setup, and look for a group spot.
The new changes are good, but they haven't really changed anything at the group or warband level. They are great if you are in a keep, or setup. But the moment it becomes a mobile fight, you are just as useless as before, and this game is 90% mobile fights.
And even in the best of situations, where an engi / magus is left alone in the open field to stand and spam. All it takes to shut down their dps, is someone spec'ing dodge / disrupt, and a tank doing HTL, with guard up. That's it.
If you run solo you are going to die. If you die to an engi pet, you will die to any dot, you would have died to snipe pre-change. If you don't want to die, get a group, play together, and never worry about engi / magus again.

But now that both classes are buffed, ofc everyone is whining about engies, because there is still a lot more engies than magi.
So yeah, it's a population problem.
We don't play op ez mode classes
But the devs in their infinite and undeniable destro bias has chosen to repeatadly buff the most op class in the game
There is a reason that from the very beginning of the game people have been saying nerf magus
We don't play op ez mode classes"
I can not tell if you are serious or not. Squig Herder
