Genesis items themselves are approximately the same power of other items existing in T4.
Less powerful than RvR jewelry even. I'll give them a pass on raw stats.
The 2pc set bonus is +37 main stat.
Softcap is 1050. Average is ~900.
That comes out to around 3% to 5% more power than a similar player with 2 non-Genesis pieces.
Is that what you meant by quite a big power gap?
Are you trying to tell me that dps runs around with 900 main stat? majority of them have 1050 or very close.
Less powerful than which RvR jewellery? Can you please let me know because I think I have missed some good RvR set.
37 main stat = 10 rr. Those 10 renown point in that moment can be spent on other very good abilities (resolute, cleansing wind).
And yes, 5% makes a difference between winning and loosing. And it is not a problem, I agree that this set should be difficult to obtain and should give you an edge. Problem is that it is based on LUCK not a skill, time invested or commitment.

1. no it doesnt, the items are not OP
2. So what? As and when the next set of gear shows up (conq) its extremely, extremely unlikely to be on a currency system for quite some time and is almost guaranteed to be available only through completing the objective and taking a shot at the roll.
Let me make something quite clear, people are not entitled to gear just because they want it. I dont even have one piece on any character and Im just fine with that. We line up and take our shot at it just like everyone else.

I've never said that it is OP.
If you are going to give conqueror set only as roll based reward you are going to loose people and promote zerg. Dominating side will farm until they have what they want and from that point they will wipe everything on the other.
Also all that roll based system is what, in the past, driven people away from WAR. Any roll system is stupid because is only dependand on pure luck. I have got my Darkpromise boots after I have obtained full Sov! how ridiculous is this.
I am not proposing to make sets or anything easy nor I am saying that anyone is entitled to anything I am just trying to change your view on a pure luck base system. It is flawed and is driving people away from the game.
We really like RoR and appreciate a lot of work and changes you guys do. Seriously, it is fantastic project and is is great to be here and be part of it. But if progression is going to be based on luck it is not going to work.
Look at scenario weapons, for a 2 hander you need 880 emblems. Is it a lot? of course it is. Is it a problem? no it is not. Because in time people have got a carrot at the end of the tunnel. Imagine that you are going to make a scenario weapon a roll at the end of scenario. 1 per scenario. Would it work? maybe... there are only 12-18 people there. But still someone could play forever and do not win it because it is luck based. When you put it at the keep there are 100+... in Friday's night CW zone flip there we over 200 people in the roll.
