Seriously, specially when there will be no tokens for it whatsoever, genesis was already bad, a complete set of gear locked behind some rng bullshit is real bad.

There is no sure way to get it besides grind forever and get lucky, why are we still doing this? What is the benefit of such a system?
The carrots are needed, trust me. And I really think this dev diary came out at a crucial time. At least in my circle of WAR friends enthusiasm was at an all time low. Genisis was never really a motivator tbh, but a BiS weapon (possibly) even if it's just a ~5-10 upgrade might get us at least out attacking more than never.

Anyways thanks for writing this up wargrimnir, and I'm guessing torq was the one who is making lairs great again? The PvP aspect sounds awesome.

Beastlord was mine. Torque wrangled up the Conq/Dom/Sub (wow really, i'm just noticing that), stuff.

Thank you Devs, for the Dev Diary and all the hard work the team is putting into RoR.

Is there any word on forts?

Assuming you're talking about account lockout timers. We don't have anything in built into the current version of the patcher. It may end up being GM-managed as a punishment for active xrealming. Suppose that direction would give us some new tools to find the cheeky gits who decide swapping realms in the heat of the moment will get them rewards.

Although, the contribution system does a pretty good job of managing whether or not you can get rewards anyway. It really doesn't make a lot of sense to swap to the winning side if you're already done a bunch of fighting on the losing side. It's always nice the day after a long hard fight, to log into a big fat renown contribution message and some mail. Win or lose.

Some questions:

1. "ASAP" - are we talking about several days or rather several weeks time frame?

2. Regarding Mastery Tree bonus point from every 10 renown level.

a) Does that mean new reality is 25 (26 if +1 from set bonus or other item is maintained) mastery points is max?

b) Does alternative ways of achieving more mastery points are considered or planned or rather 'no mastery bonus points' policy is what is intended?

Seems legit. We can rollback to RR40 instead. Want to be absolutely certain it feels like too much.

1. Days
2a. Maybe
2b. Maaaybe

The warning was out there so we're all on the same page that this is something that will happen in the future. The specific details in the meantime need to be hammered out, but we have rough goals that we want to take care of.

I would propose RR 0.
