AP Drain Suggestion

Anyone who has been the target of multiple, simultaneous AP drains at once can share my concern that this combination can essentially take one player out of the mix indefinitely.

While not specifically a CC effect, in essence, when used in combination by two or more players against an enemy, it "CC"s that player into doing a lot less for the duration. It's basically a way to take out an AP-Dependent target without having to kill or kite them.

If silence has an immunity timer, why doesn't AP drain?

I suggest that AP Drains cast as a spell have an immunity timer for the recipient. In this way, the spell still carries the intended effects without allowing for a complete gimping of the recipient by two or more AP drains running simultaneously.

Yes, I understand that the AP drains can be removed by RR purchased cleanse as well as some healing classes; however, double or triple AP drains are unnecessarily strong and need to be addressed. The easiest method, IMO is immunity for a period of time so that they cannot be stacked.

I would just note that both factions have essentially the same ability so ceteris paribus, no side has an advantage. Shaman to seem to be more popular due to, dare I say it, Run Away. (also cuteness). Shaman cannot cleanse AM drain (pretty sure) an AM can cleanse shaman. While annoying, AP drain seems to be okay.

Before aoneone else dose it more bluntly. The balance forums have been removed and it has been stated by the team that there will be no class and faction balance until further down the release of gear. As a result of the conclusion Dewan from the state stabilisation thread and Az stepping back as lead developer.

While I applause your efforts to write posts like this. Please understand that nothing is going to be changed for a while and is likely to get locked.

Just because both sides have it doesn't mean that something can't be too strong and doesn't offer any reasonable counterplay. Can't really do much against 2 players draining your ap the whole day esp if they are clever and use cover dots. It's not fun to play against and is just bad design that you can just make one player useless as long as you wish to do so. A immunity for the duration of the skill (10s) doesn't seem to affect anything except this certain case.

Yes I know balance forums are closed however why shouldn't we just discuss some suggestions. Nobody is forcing anything from you guys it's just like a "hey devs did you thought about that" or "this might be a thing for the future"...
Besides suggestions can only be usefull to see what other people think about certain things. Can open up new ideas even if the resulting idea is totally different from the suggestion. It also brings light on perspectives others have which sometimes might not be considered.
