DPS Tinkerer can now hit 21 Destros in 40 Feet with some bad Damage.
It's like a Fireclown with Armor.
You just need a WB that know how to best use him or run in a dwarven gunline.

It is still somewhat strange, despite the common concept of balancing the game somewhat around 6v6 groupplay, some classes like engineers/magi start shining in larger fights, and some of their abilities and specs clearly only become useful at a wb-scale setting.
Meanwhile in the other end of the spectrum there are classes like WE/WH that shine in 1v1 or even 3v3, become meh a at 6v6 and almost useless at 24v24 setting.

However a good engineer can still be deadly at 1v1, but I'd argue that SW shines better in 1v1, due to engineer having to be somewhat more stationary, whereas SW can keep running and shooting with greater ease.

And how do I play Engi as tank? This was always a dream of mine on live, but I was never able to achieve this?

You need good sence of range as SW, constantly maintaining 60ft distance

You have an armor tactic, then slot armor talis, use the ToK armor jewel set, drink armor pots and use RR on Daft Defender and toughness.

The flame turret gives now dodge/disrupts but reduces your overall range.
So if you are near your flame turret you are very hard to kill for sorcs/goblins. And armor protects you from melee.

Only Problem is if your turret is dead you are too dead. And you aren't that much of an Dps as you need to reduce your BS.

So for this build you need one, two or 23 buddies to work i.e. kill people and not stand under your cheesebowl.
