You might want to check if your windows power settings are set to 'High Performance'.Collateral wrote: It's probably the processor, although I have an i7. I will try the RAM increase and see how it goes.

Re: Something something...
I have to admit that before the change, I rarely participated in ORVR. I would SC, but only ORVR 1/8th of the time.
Now, with everyone over L16 in ORVR, I have been in the lakes zagging with a 6-man around the blob as well as in the blob. North American times have seen a marked improvement in zone population and you are not fighting the STP (same twenty players) as in most SC ques.
It's been fun except for last night. Order had a lot of players in T4 TM and our side looked like the list you may get if you asked for the worst possible warband composition (including me on my healer). AAO helps, but finding the small scale fights is becoming more difficult as usually you start fighting 5v6 and end up 5 v 28+. Sure you get a few kills, but lately these have been lvl 28 bolstered players and not worth much even with AAO. You don't get the premade RR50+ 6man roam group vrs RR50+ 6man roam group in the lakes now, or at least it's harder to find than it was in T4 before the patch.
I play the game they give me, so I'll find a way to have fun or I'll set it down for a while. Which it is remains to be seen. I will say that SC pops are few and far between even with more players in T4. I assume that's due to the "easy pickins' " in T4 with warbands over 50% bolstered and uncoordinated warbands. It's easier for the double premades to form up and walk through a zone than wait for SCs.

Re: Something something...
This system with 2 open zones at the same time would be amazing.
These big battles are what I remember from the past and what I loved, but it must be a pain for alle the small scale oriented people out there.
I've just ended a gaming session in kv where I went 21/1, had a very fun keep defense but I also managed to be in a wb where I didnt get to use an ability for 5 mins or so.

Re: Something something...
True. Less T4 SC pops lately.
The Thunderers have a lot of new guild members, so our t4 players roam with our new lvl 16+ dwarfs. And I think it is the same in other guilds.
So if you currently join t4 SCs you are missing the chance to play with the mid tier lads.

Re: Something something...
Well, scenarios are also probably popping less because of the new orvr mechanic. I'd bet they pick back up in a week or two.

Re: Something something...
Speaking on the lag side of things. The game has been playing really well for me ever since I turned off all names entirely. That includes, titles and guild names. I also only have enemy, cmap, RoR SoR and buffhead addons running. I've reduced the size of enemies icon to .4 for warband and .6 for my immediate group. Made a tremendous difference.
Surprisingly the game still has been running well. Even with the extra zone population. Though I imagine the addition 16 gigs of ram is helping with that too

Fighting in Eataine tonight was an absolute blast. Personally, I think the system is working well. Maybe not perfect, but well.

this should be permanent, might need some refining but nothing too big to not keep it like the way it is now
