Back on live, lot of dok swords (inf ones, epic quests ones, city ones) had a snare proc on them (5% chance for 40% snare for 5-10 sec, or so, which stack with snare covenant), which gave the dps doks actual somewhat decent fighting chance vs kiters.
Would love seeing those in RoR.
Put snare procs back on dok swords.

Sounds like a solo/1v1 issue, and we don't really care about those.
Even if they were brought back, I doubt devs would let the snare stack with CoC.

Better fighting chances in 1vs1 fights with uncleanseable proc snares? ^^

Re: Put snare procs back on dok swords.
There were a lot of proc bonuses which aren't here, but I'm afraid that's the plan.
I'd also like to see Boost (crit chance and damage increase) and Corrosion (armor debuff) procs being more available for MDPS but so far they're barely represented compared to live. So far Corrosion is available on a T3 choppa/slayer set, WE/WH epic q 1h. There's Boost on choppa/slayer epic q 2h.
You're probably gonna be happy to know that most RDPS get either Boost or Corrosion with the upcoming PQ Onslaught set.

Its 5% for it to proc though, and it lasts for 5-10 sec (don't remember exactly)- so you need to get to target during that time, and to keep it there, while the target (am/sw) actually has quite a bit of CC to help prevent you from doing so.Sulorie wrote:Better fighting chances in 1vs1 fights with uncleanseable proc snares? ^^

As much as I would love this - you have no idea how much the power at be is not super big fans of the class lol. WP would most likely be given a weapon with this type of proc though as their 2h's tend to have some super good ones, but for DoK's we are generally limited to DoT damage or quick small 5% proc damage.
But yeah I think a 20% snare weapon to stack with 20% cov to give a total of 40% would be a more "RoR style of option" and not as powerful as it was on live.

Considering the devs, and Torq especially, seem to play every single class, it seems pretty laughable to suggest they have a grudge against the class.freshour wrote:As much as I would love this - you have no idea how much the power at be is not super big fans of the class lol. Re: Put snare procs back on dok swords.
I didn't mean they have a grudge I just meant they don't want it to be like it was on live. Obviously a lot of people hated that after a certain RR/Gear/Pocket Item point the class became pretty dominant in 1v1 and 2v1 situations. So there have been steps taken to prevent that from happened. That is all I meant by it. No need to cause drama or play Mr. Forum Warrior. I like the devs tooGodlessCrom wrote:Considering the devs, and Torq especially, seem to play every single class, it seems pretty laughable to suggest they have a grudge against the class.freshour wrote:As much as I would love this - you have no idea how much the power at be is not super big fans of the class lol. You literally said "you have no idea how much the power at be are not super big fans of the class." If ever there was an attempt at drama, there it is. Thanks for clarifying though, Convert. Good luck in-game.

I think Godlesscrom is not a super big fan of Convert.
