I dont see how a choppa is supposed to consistently do well without rd. Depend on others to carry you is the answer i guess.

If you played a melee DPS in the range meta, you would somewhat be able to empathise with the guy's concerns as opposed to dismissing them so bluntly. Not everyone here is whining out of 'give me back my toys!' syndrome, a lot of the concerns seem genuine and it is harder to play as a melee premade in a range-dominated RvR meta. Should there be counterplay to zergs as a melee group, or should you just accept death? People bringing to light such concerns should, therefore, not be mocked, with their concerns thrown under the rug.

FFS the team obviously didn't mean to release it with no notice. I'd expect it to show up in next patch notes. Some of y'all are taking this so personally.

Choppa could survive without a group before?

Obviously the change effects everyone and all sides equally. Let's see how it plays out (and potentially what other changes might come later to tone down on any perceived or real "range-dominated" RVR that would be deemed OP had RD/CW still existed). Same approach that was taken with UF removal and Assault SW revamp.

It is not harder to play melee, if we are talking about group play and equal numbers. Else you would be bringing full rDPS groups to 6v6, right?

Something to keep in mind, last month with defence changes, rdps lost easily 20-40% of their previously damage potential, sure you can find bad people that die easily still, but any good players are now impossible to land damage on (I'd say when ST my Sorc loses 20-40% of all GCDs to Disrupt, and I have best in slot gear with softcap int, its anything but fun to play atm)
So now they remove everyones favourite toy, "cant touch this"-RD and "lol what dots"-CW, something that were in wide use by both sides, by all classes and careers and specs simply because they were that good.

In the end, it's somewhat balanced even, everyone lost something.

In ORvR? It's definitely harder to play as a melee 6man than it is a ranged 6man.

(Btw I am only referring to rvr roaming when I talk about understanding people's concerns from a melee PoV)
