Rewards after zonelock in Tier 1

Hello,

I am playing a Witch Hunter in Tier 1.
It is great fun sneaking to a BO and bringing heretics from life to death.
However, after the zonelock, or shortly after, when many people are porting out through the BO portals, or are running towards them I get no reward for a kill.
You could argue that I am just killing AFK'ers, but not all of them are AFK, some just tabbed out and tab in when I attack, or running to the portal after their friends, so we have a fierce fight.
However, I do not get any rewards for these fights as they happen seconds after the lock sometimes.

What is the position of the developers to this?
Would it be possible to give a short amount of time (2-3min) to still get rewards after the lock?
I understand that there is not infinite time, no one would like gankers clearing all BO's on a map,
but with 2 minutes you could have a last fierce fight on a BO and then carry on to the next map.

In T2-T4 there is a 10 minute timer afaik after a lock in which you still get RR for killing people.

^In combination with that having grace in T1 ended with everyone keep fighting in emp vs chaos no matter what and refused to move.

Ick... T1 emp... So glad thats no longer the only areas to fight.
