Hello,
I managed to talk my old guild from Live to come back, and we decided to go Destro (RIP WL and BW), so I made a Chosen. One of the things that turned me off of KotBS and Chosen during Live was the Auras and using "Twister" to swap between three of them. Sure, that doesn't seem all that complicated but it was a huge turn off for me back then. Anyways, I just wanted to thank the development team for allowing up to three auras going at once without needing to "twist" them. Thank you.
Cheers

Twisting put me off back on live aswell, now I love my Chosen.mattander83 wrote:Hello,

Do not get too used to "Set it and Forget It" auras. This server is known for taking ezmode and beating the skill into it. The Class revisions on Chosen and Knight have been promised for a while...
I liked Twisting because you could use auras situationally. every 4 seconds you could make a decision as to what aura to have up. On RoR you have to click off one aura (4 seconds) and wait one GCD, then click the one you want.. or ~ 6 seconds of reaction time. On live, swapping auras based upon enemy comp just flowed better because of twisting.

Really? I can think of several examples of "ezmode" that have yet to see any skill "beaten" into it.Luuca wrote:Do not get too used to "Set it and Forget It" auras. I hope the Chosen/Knight revisions do not include twisting again, I always found it annoying. Everyone has their own opinion of course.

Re: Choosen Feedback
Twisting was really dumb, set and forget might be less complicated, but makes for a much more enjoyable game.

Re: Choosen Feedback
Really needs to be reduced to one aura at a time - Chosen/KoBS are mandatory atm as they far outperform the other tanks on both sides - the massive AoE stat buffs and debuffs are way OP at the moment.
Devs have regularly stated they want to see an active mechanic for Chosen/KoBS rather than the current 'click 3 best auras and forget you have a class mechanic'. One at a time still removes the mind numbing repetitive reactivation of twisting/limited duration, but makes it an active mechanic with meaningful choices - do I need to be buffing allies str or toughness right now, maybe we need a brief healing buff..?
It would also allow IB/SM or BO/BG combos to be a realistic choice, right now you give up over 1000 stat points of buffs/debuffs by not bringing the over performing tank, and it's just not a viable choice.

Re: Choosen Feedback
All Ill say is that twisting is not on the table at all, but we have for a long time talked about how we want to change chosens and knights. And it will probably happen sometime after client control.

1000 stat points? That one line made my day.AxelF wrote:Really needs to be reduced to one aura at a time - Chosen/KoBS are mandatory atm as they far outperform the other tanks on both sides - the massive AoE stat buffs and debuffs are way OP at the moment.
