I still remember the time when Jurki and Teefz were wrecking half of the zone on their SHs soloing or in duo with a healer hitting top kills every time.
In that time a zerg from either side comes around the corner and rolls over you, your friend, your aunt and your grandpa.

The Problem with the WL is the amount of damage in the short amount of time. Even a single target mara can't create these insane burst moments. Combined with another dps its a combo that is pretty hard to deal with.

Your truth. But playing on mara I feel much more confident without hard AP issues and the amount debuffs/utility the class can offer to group than with an unstable burst/pet mechanic of WL

According to wiki nothing bad happened to SH except dodge/disrupt changes. Maybe something is missing there

I remeber the pet got some serious dps nerf, that seems to to noted in the Wiki.
I don't remember it very well, could be it got reverted, but i think not. A lot of "balance" mistakes didn't get reverted.

Right now WL is like a WH.

except with their mobility and cc they don't even need stealth nor stagger selfpunt.

except that instead of light armor and all str talis they can build like an offtank.

except the burst is even more brutal.

and the hair is longer and more beautiful.

Well that's nice and fancy but it looks like the strong duellists that force casuals to group up are WE/WH! One in each faction, everybody can enjoy being stabbed to death. But the WL is redundant(and really unfair)! Not only this, what is the destro equivalent?
That's not genius, that's biased.

"inevitably" really how just don't fight it. It's not like the build doesn't give you enough time to consider just running away. Are you also trying to kill defftanks and inevitably die due to being outsustained? Nobody ever claimed ib like volgo plays it is op cause you have more than enough time to react. That's what sustain builds do if you fight it they will mostlikly win the fight but they won't need only 2-3 gcd while having the deff of an offtank.

If someone dies from 2-3 gcd than it’s clearly l2p issue (Yeah I’ve seen those green gear/ full will power shammies), probably such things as futile strikes, armor tallies and good level of wounds are missed completely.
You can always try to run away from defftank or offtank but from mara/wl I doubt. Amount of cc they have is outrageous. Both of them will most likely kill you if you will try to ignore them.

Well basically any caster does so since there you have to actually take offensive stats to do dmg. Atleast at this state of equipment.
Then marauder tons of cc when you don't attack him? Since when? What he has is a pull which is often disrupted, a meele range snare something many classes have and the ensnare equivalent, a moral. Yep ensnare will mostlikly get you if you aren't a class that can remove roots but other than that you can often get away.

7 out of 10 pulls work on me even when I face a marauder to not let him undefendable pull. If you try to pull full disrupt speced people or healers than maybe it fails quite often.
Snare, snare-breaker, charge, range on-disrupt knockdown, melee aoe knockdown, pull and root moral is not enough to be mobile and don’t let people escape?
Welp, marauder definitely needs guns and pounce.
