I think it shall be interesting to have an interface to make a 6 players group when a player launchs SC.
One option to join a random group automaticly.
An other to have a view of groups already inthe queue.
And an option to join them.
The interface shall shows only career of each 6 players group, no players name.
As WB in RvR, there is a leader of SC group: the first who create the group.
At the end of the SC, the leader choose if he want to invit the player in his group to revive the SC queue.
Each player can choose to stay in the group or not.
If the leader and the player are agree, the player join the group.
Each group are available 5 minutes in the list of queue, after that, it will be complete by random players.

Re: [SC] Launch interface to view classes in queue
I miss you reason to add something like this. You have plenty time, before sc starts to fix your groups, e.g. move healers and tanks around, when all are random. It is a player made issue, that people don't fix their groups, despite players in chat ask them to do so.Tharund wrote: Thu May 31, 2018 12:06 pm I think it shall be interesting to have an interface to make a 6 players group when a player launchs SC.

Re: [SC] Launch interface to view classes in queue
You're right, it is possible to fix group through the chat before start SC queue.
This reasoning is available for WB in RvR too.
But there is an interface for pick-up WB.
I know, it is possible to use this interface for SC too, but I think nobody use it for that.
So perhaps it is possible to have an specific interface pour SC group.

Re: [SC] Launch interface to view classes in queue
I think OP's point was that when you go to the group icon you can see pick up groups for WB's and PQs but he wants there to be a 3rd option that says SC's. Instead of typing in chat over and over that you are looking for 6 man sc/roam. I think this would make more people group up in 6 mans as it makes forming the group easier. I know I dont start 6 mans alot bec typing over and over in /LFG gets annoying. But i would def click in the group icon and scan the pick up groups for any pre made 6 man Sc groups.

Maybe it's just me, but /5 has done this exact thing perfectly for the past 3 years playing RoR.

Well, the job is done, you're right.
But when I see groups when I join SC, it is not possible that players talk to each other to build that groups

And a lot of time, SC are not balanced because of that.
A specific interface can perhaps improve this situation.
The SC interface doesn't prevent epic fail SC (0 - 500).
But, for me, pre-made group are necessary to learn how to play too: placement, spé, focus ...
So if player are included in a group, that could encourage to talk to each others

Re: [SC] Launch interface to view classes in queue
I completely empathise and agree with your points concerning premade groups. I just feel that it would be a waste of time and resources: if people can't utilise something as simple as a LFG channel (aka a staple in almost every PvP game out there), what use is it to reinvent the wheel?

Re: [SC] Launch interface to view classes in queue
The thing is how many times do you have to type in /5 before you actually get a group together. If /5 worked perfectly we wouldnt need the group icon to form WBs or Pq teams. Im just playing devils advocate bec i think if the coding took a huge amount of time it wouldnt be worth it. But having this feature in game would definitely increase the amount of premade sc groups. I always open the group icon and see whats going on, but i rarely am willing to type in /5 for 30 mins to get a group together. It would bascially just be a constant advertisement for your sc premade.

Re: [SC] Launch interface to view classes in queue
Thing is using /5 to form an open WB would be tedious and result in a lot of spam, while using /5 to find only 5 other people is entirely reasonable.
Having said that, I wouldn't be opposed to such a feature if: a) it was feasible; b) actually has promise.

Re: [SC] Launch interface to view classes in queue
Even this is a pain. I blame open warbands, as people don't have to communicate in order to join groups.peterthepan3 wrote: Thu May 31, 2018 5:45 pm while using /5 to find only 5 other people is entirely reasonable.
