Tried champions and normal mobs and the result is the same...
In that time with butchering you get lots of potions and liniments.
Champ mobs are the ONLY ones to drop purples. The amount of/time spent on normal mobs is irrelevant.

I haven't farmed Tali's in awhile, but I used to average 2-3 purps an hour on my WP. Ofc, most of those would inevitably be int/BS/WP frags. But a purp is a purp...

The amount of time spent farming is largely irrelevant, as Kill time, respawn time, and travel between mobs are the most crucial factors in Farming. I can farm a crap load more armor pots than absorp pots per hour, just cause there are more mobs to farm closer together(ofc, you can use multipliers on absorp pots though). This is why a 40stack of absorp pots costs more than Armor pots traditionally.

That doesn't mean Absorp/frag drop rate needs to be changed. Farming champs solo can take awhile to kill depending on class, and there really aren't that many 40 bats around. That has nothing to do with drop rate, rarity/scarcity isn't a bad thing. Also, just cause you got a 200 purp armor frag doesn't guarantee you a 180 tali...

I do love how in the same thread people are complaining about how ridiculous Armor tali prices are, and saying scavenging is worthless... Fine, don't farm your own tali's. Keep funneling Gold on upwards please... Edit: Also, you shouldn't be putting BiS Tali's in lowbie gear anyways. 20s or 22s (124-150 for armor) are more than adequate for eveything up to and including anni. Lastly, you can always upgrade a tali inside of a piece of gear. So put the cheaper armor tali in now, save some gold and buy the upgrade later if you desire. If you want BiS it's gonna cost you.

TLDR: It's called "farming" and "grinding" for a reason. Welcome to MMOs. If you think this Crafting system can be tedious, I suggest you never try another MMO. WAR's is boring, but super straight forward...

Its a terrible idea (same with +24 talis). I don´t know for what you guys spend your gold, I spend mine for pots in AH (because I am too lazy to cultivate myself). The prices are so that I get the gold to buy my (green) stat and armor pots through selling green stuff dropped from enemy players at vendors and some kill quests. So no need to do any pve to get your pots. But I already question why some people actually invest time to farm the mats, craft the pots and sell them in AH, because there are virtually no gold sinks in this game. Getting the best talismans might me an incentive for these people to sell all this stuff in AH.

I'm only asking for an increase of the drop rates for scavenging. Is easier to get an epic piece of gear for salvaging of the mobs you are scavenging than get a purple fragment. And months ago a some champion humanoids where changed from lvl39-40 to lvl 38-39 or to normal mobs. Because of that the only spot to farm those talis are pq's or gumbad and this can't be done solo or the reset timers make it a pain.
At least make champion humanoids to drop green+ no more white fragments
Zasssca chosen Zaska Slayer
Minox squig herder Zaskito Engineer
Discoestu magus Zasquete ironbreaker

You can solo farm gunbad champs. I used my WP to do it. It's not like the old champ trolls, but it can be done. Just slowly. The respawns really don't matter because your just there to kill champs.

I won't argue that it works, never had an armor mats drop, just saying it can be done.

ch22 killing salvaging, not scavenging, there no armor fragments
i would say increase drop rates for those, its really low, comparing to butchering
also , after ch22 rework there much less places where you can farm those solo

If I'm not mistaken current drop rate for purple +180 fragment is around 0.36% per champ.

Lmao, butchering totally different, our mats that we are needing are green and the occational blue liniment mat ie easier to drop then blue or purple frags for scav gathering skill.

for all those people who think its easy to get 24+/180 armor talis consider what hagrimir said + you got a max chance of like 5% from each fragment to get a max lvl tali taht means its something like 0,36*0,05=0,018 to get an max armor tali. they are rare af and thats why they are so damn expensive. Its alrdy a very very big gift of devs to put 24+ talis in pqs and a very big middlefinger to all talimakers (=
