Champ mobs are the ONLY ones to drop purples. The amount of/time spent on normal mobs is irrelevant.Roguibu wrote: Thu Jul 05, 2018 6:23 pm i was farming this week for about 2h a day, and only got 2 blues and a ton of white mats.
Tried champions and normal mobs and the result is the same...
In that time with butchering you get lots of potions and liniments.
I haven't farmed Tali's in awhile, but I used to average 2-3 purps an hour on my WP. Ofc, most of those would inevitably be int/BS/WP frags. But a purp is a purp...
The amount of time spent farming is largely irrelevant, as Kill time, respawn time, and travel between mobs are the most crucial factors in Farming. I can farm a crap load more armor pots than absorp pots per hour, just cause there are more mobs to farm closer together(ofc, you can use multipliers on absorp pots though). This is why a 40stack of absorp pots costs more than Armor pots traditionally.
That doesn't mean Absorp/frag drop rate needs to be changed. Farming champs solo can take awhile to kill depending on class, and there really aren't that many 40 bats around. That has nothing to do with drop rate, rarity/scarcity isn't a bad thing. Also, just cause you got a 200 purp armor frag doesn't guarantee you a 180 tali...
I do love how in the same thread people are complaining about how ridiculous Armor tali prices are, and saying scavenging is worthless... Fine, don't farm your own tali's. Keep funneling Gold on upwards please... Edit: Also, you shouldn't be putting BiS Tali's in lowbie gear anyways. 20s or 22s (124-150 for armor) are more than adequate for eveything up to and including anni. Lastly, you can always upgrade a tali inside of a piece of gear. So put the cheaper armor tali in now, save some gold and buy the upgrade later if you desire. If you want BiS it's gonna cost you.
TLDR: It's called "farming" and "grinding" for a reason. Welcome to MMOs. If you think this Crafting system can be tedious, I suggest you never try another MMO. WAR's is boring, but super straight forward...
