Is this a gold wipe for every person on the server? I will admit i have 900 gold that i have made legit selling +12 rings and farming. I really don't want to lose that gold.

Your farmed rings were bought with illegitimately gained gold, thus making you a beneficiary of the exploit.

Wiping gold is fair for everyone involved - only the selfish, ignorant ones won't see it. You can wipe all my characters naked for all I care.

If someone has 900g from farming his is either botting or needs some time off the computer going for a walk or something. Wipe will help either issue. I have all Bloody gear on a couple of characters from just a few hours farming and selling the bloody cape/jewels. I know that most of that aint right. I also wouldn't like to lose that but if its for the good of the server Ill deal with it.

You've missed the point. That gold you have exists only because of the exploiting.

why not cap gold just during alpha so gold exploits wont be an issue

Because it won't work. It's been proposed in the past and within 5 seconds it was mentioned that such a cap would be circumvented through use of mule characters and accounts.

Do you want developers to slow down the tier 2 progress and find out whose rings were bought with legally farmed gold and whose were not? It's an Alpha, no one cares about gold and equipment, there will be tons of wipes anyway.

I mean a really really low cap that even spread across a few account would not equal a huge amount. Also if the cap was really low that creates a low max price to auction or sell items stopping ah hyperinflation. Just for alpha till you can be sure there aren't exploits.

Nalgol posted already in the closed thread, that an item level 12+ wipe will maybe necessary.
Bloody gear prices will drop when T2 is starting and everyone will be in the same situation.
