Liniments for Oppressor emblems
As a small incentive to keep playing SC / Ranked with max geared toons, it could be a good idea to have a vendor where you can buy character bound liniments, since those are annoying to farm (especially a specific one) and still very few players use them.

No. PvE content is PvE content. Deal with the grind or give PvE players something in return. If you don't want to grind it, buy in the AH or don't use it.Bosli wrote: Mon Jan 06, 2020 2:41 pm As a small incentive to keep playing SC / Ranked with max geared toons, it could be a good idea to have a vendor where you can buy character bound liniments, since those are annoying to farm (especially a specific one) and still very few players use them.

I wouldn't call grinding liniments actual "content". So far, they are a byproduct with which people are happy if they get a desired one they can sell. I don't think anyone actually tries to farm the 1-3 type of liniments that are good for his class, since the drops are completely random, they take longer to farm and they only last half the time of a standard potion.Ototo wrote: Mon Jan 06, 2020 2:53 pm No. PvE content is PvE content. And by the way, my post was about thinking of something else you can do with Oppressor emblems which are farmed extremely fast now, not taking away your precious and exciting PvE content.

Re: Liniments for Oppressor emblems
I don't know about using Opp tokens specifically, but there really needs to be more options for currency (in general).
As it currently stands, after buying whatever gear you need/want (be it conq, or vanq, or even invader) there is very little to do with currency outside of breaking it down into officer medals to buy health/ap potions.
Liniments sound like a good option to use left over conqs/vanqs/opps/invaders.
That said, since upgrading tokens as been a "catch up" mechanic in the past, we should probably also be able to upgrade conqs/doms into vanqs/opps at rr50 or so.

To further improve your post, you ask something that is extremely rare to be bought with something that is extremely common for people playing hardcore, so the gap between casual players and the top 5% can be made wider.Bosli wrote: Mon Jan 06, 2020 3:41 pmI wouldn't call grinding liniments actual "content". Perfectly balanced.

Liniments are not "extremely rare", and higher levels of currency (vanq/invader/and to a lesser degree opps while they are temporarily boosted in the very specific instance of solo/group 6v6) are not extremely common. Conqs and Doms are a lot easier to obtain (especially at higher rr, since you get rewarded with and can break down higher currencies), but the higher sets are still a pain to acquire.
Even if what you were saying was accurate, it's a moot point since the devs can easily adjust the pricing of the hypothetical liniments to match what they feel would match the time of acquisition in pve (which would be pretty short, since you get a box of them just for clearing a PQ, which takes like 10 mins).
