@ magter
So much fail in this post.
1) Playing the class for a few hours doesn't count as extensive testing, by the way.
2) Maybe in T3 (still doubt), but in T4 that would never happen. SH - along with Shaman - are, perhaps, the only classes that -can- semi-kite/deal with a WL end-game. Run away tactics, snares, etc.
3) Massive damage? Still much less than a WH/Slayer.

Re: WLs are the new SHs
I played the class to T4 on live so I didn't need to have extensive testing. The testing I did have showed me that what was on live and what is now on RoR are two very different things. In RoR the pet itself is like a homing missile coated in super glue, the pet (as well as SH pets) stick to the person and can extend at a MUCH farther range than on live.jonathanmurphy3 wrote:@ magter

For your point 2, I never talked about T4, I talked about my personal experience in T3. Also you are forgetting that in T4 RR100 WL could destroy a RR45 SH regardless of snares or tactics because of gear differentials. I'm also sorry for implying that it's a 1v1 situation. WLs in groups can also do good burst damage, use fetch to pull healers or Rdps, something we don't have in T1 clearly.
The "Massive damage" was meant for the war lion pet, in comparison with other pets in the game.
Hope that clarifies my "fail post"

Fetch broke more times than it worked on live.magter3001 wrote:I played the class to T4 on live so I didn't need to have extensive testing. It does not only follow, it attacks stealthed targets. Obviously throwing it out of stealth.Zegota wrote:It was always like that. On live both the WLs and SHs pet followed stealthed targets.sotora wrote:Lion pet does not lose target when target goes into stealth and will still run, find and attack stealthed WE.
What that mean in pracitcal terms is that you can be permanently thrown out of stealth through whole scenario when WL keep resending Lion over and over.
No worries.magter3001 wrote:
That was me, sorry about that. Was testing the class out, not playing the WL anymore![]()
Just wanted to show how the class can easily be exploited.
Well then it's bullshit and imho it should not be designed like that.Kaitanaroyr wrote: was like that on live could get yr pet to follow a stealthed WE by aoeing it even if it doesn't pop out of stealth the pet followed the WE till told to return though it never attacked the stealthed target unless you triggered its aoe ability
But taking that aside, what is more problematic is that pet will follow you through whole scenario and attack you through stealth.

Re: WLs are the new SHs
The pet following a stealthed target after it was hit with its aoe while on stealth (seeing as it should have been taken out of stealth) makes perfect sense as it generated a target and the pet was code to chase after its target just an issue with stealth vs pet as for it hitting the target by itself while its in stealth thats an issue

Re: WLs are the new SHs
In this case I must actually agree with sotora in that a pet maintaining its target, even if that target goes into stealth a long way away from the pet, is bullshit. Consider it added to the fix list.
Re: WLs are the new SHs
oh aza the stelth is related to a bigger problem. When you are stealth mob should not see you but just like pet they all can see and attack you.

Re: WLs are the new SHs
On live pet followed the WE or WH only if you set him on the target before they entered stealth, and did no dmg, and you could only guess their movement. I guess that you can roleplay and say that they followed the scent

I never wrote that! i just went through the whole post.. someones misquoting me here.
