A fresh 16 has a lot easier time than a fresh 40, the player won't die in a single stun killed from 100ft range by a bw/sorc with full sov gear. The advantage players get for having higher levels in (16-39) are more abilities, more gear pieces. So of course they will be stronger than a 16 but it is not as bad as fresh 40 vs rr80 40...

And as already said according to premades: Just make all SC like the pug one <40, problem solved...

Fresh 16s also have to face rr80 in RvR without the abilities to help them out. Something which you yourself mentioned. In SCs a rank 16 will die just as fast to a rank 39 BW/Sorc in annihilator gear.

Anyway the reason why everyone recommends to keep rr as high as possible while leveling is not to be stomped by higher rrs when they hit 40.

First you complain about shifting meta and being too many premades in 16-39 then and now you tell me: "But I want to play with my friends" So you complain about premades, but want to play in one yourself?

No a premade out of fresh 40s would never have a chance against a pug made out of rr80 with full sov gear. But maybe you try to convince yourself that you kill so many players because you are so good and not because you have a gigantic gear advantage?

Doing just fine on dok in t4 healing with anni gear and planning to swap directly to invader.

Any one before went through the same ranks towards endgame gear on any class and managed it.
Why some people think they deserve some special cuddling?
Because some years ago there was no sov gear? Levelling was slower back then and people go trashed by premades just like now, no matter the gear involved.
Additionally you have low and high ranks on both sides, so it's hit and miss anyway.
Socialize, get a group and gear differences will have a lower impact.
