sharpened edge suggestion

SHARPENED EDGE

My suggestion is to make the Witch Elf’s Carnage tree tactic “sharpened edge” useful, either by reducing its icd to 0.5 secs or by buffing its damage substantially.



REASONING BEHIND MY SUGGESTION:

In its current state, this tactic is utterly useless and no one would even look twice at it. Even with my suggestion implemented not many people would use it, but it does open up new possibilities of interesting sub specs, specifically a kind of reflect build for WE which would in turn make invader’s last bonus desirable in conjunction with the tactic. A beautiful synergy would be achieved.

In my opinion it’s sad that many interesting tactics remain neglected fossils in the game and are never used when, with some minor change, they would open up new venues for improving and diversifying your class in original ways, while remaining far from gamebreaking and staying perhaps niche or even suboptimal but a sight for sore eyes for those players that want to stray a bit from the beaten path and come up with imaginative subspecs without upsetting the mainstream direction of the game.

1 - Reduce ICD t 1 sec.. should hit as hard as riposte ( atm hits for nothing)

2 - same 2 secs ICD .. adjust damage accordingly and do corporeal dmg.

3 - ICD to 0.5 - adjust damage accordingly.


Looks very easy to fix a tactic.. it just need tweks here and there.

WE has enough usefull tactics... No need to put this one in line.

For it's niche it is oke

That's funny. When I read this I thought for a second I was in another nerf rampage thread. Some thoughts:

1. you make going from utter uselessness to godlike status with a slight adjustment sound like a piece of cake. I want to live in your universe.
2. tweaking something to find the right spot is what I'm suggesting here. Krima has proposed several variations which could be tested and fine tuned to prevent OPness.
3. I thought game balance was all about group play, not 1v1. At least that's what I read all the time here and everywhere ingame.
4. Even in 1v1, I find it hard to believe that a tank couldn't disengage and survive/wait until more ppl come/get to warcamp, etc. using tank stuff like stun/root/KD/punt. Especially vs physical dmg.
