Hello All,

Who misses Renown Tactics? I do. On Live, they provided small buffs like "Deal 5% more damage to dwarves" and finally, 100 flat Wounds which was awesome! (To me, some hated it..). Currently in the game, there is a lack of character customization options compared to modern games and MMO's, which led me to this idea.

Scope: Put certain weapon powers and/or Set Bonus powers on Renown Tactics. This will be Power Creep; said Power Creep will likely be countered by other renown tactics. The end result would be increased player gratification and customization. My preliminary idea was to include just the procs from RvR sets, that being Annihilator; Conqueror; Vanquisher; Invader; Warlord; and both Sovereign sets. It would be fitting for RvR-tactics and some of the PvE set bonuses would be too strong to include, such as the Redeye Tank 6pc. The powers would be mutually exclusive so you can't have Vanquisher Soul Essence Restore from both the set and the Tactic, nor can you have the different SE restores from both Vanquisher and Sovereign. Finally, I believe that only one of these should be allowed at any time.

Some Gear Sets have great bonuses that are outgrown or simply not good enough to justify wearing the set. Invader for Zealot grants "5% chance on direct heal to remove a Hex, Curse or Ailment." How cool would it be to carry that into a different gearset? Let's say that we have a Zealot who finishes his Invader set but doesn't use it because it doesn't have the AP proc from Vanquisher; he gains the ability to purchase that Cleanse on Heal as a Renown Tactic in the Library after finishing the whole set!

Some of the powers might be too strong (big maybe) such as Slayer/Choppa 20% Armor Ignore on Invader and others too weak; such as WE/WH Invader 7PC (KEKW).

I realize that this would require an extra layer of balancing and some of the combos would be weak and some of the combos might be too strong, such as Shadow Warrior having both Warlord Armor Debuff and wearing Sovereign for Boost; Choppa/Slayer with Invader 20% Armor Ignore and.. any other gear. However, the end result would be a fantastic layer of depth to character development and would grow naturally over time, resulting in great satisfaction when any armor set is completed. Players would also be opted to gathering their other Royal Crest Sets.

I like this idea. Maybe if tome tactics never get implemented this could replace that empty slot.
