I mean take knight as an example:
While in 2hand mode it gets access to arcing swing (aoe wounds debuff) and can slot a tactic to increase crit. They also can get an aoe slow, although not as affective as others but still a viable option. Then when they put on a shield they get dirty tricks and focus mending, and can still keep the aoe slow. Viability doesn't leave the building just because you went down a different spec tree.
I think BO's having access to quicker M2s is nothing to scoff at but it lacks the kind of class identity things that SM's had access to (prior to whispering winds) such as M1 Wings, or a solid 2-hand solidification system (high damage, magic damage, and 2hand channel to support damage builds).
the CC immunity on paper looks cool but if you've played RoR for any time at all 3 seconds is like 1 second long and therefor cc immunity slapped onto final skill in mid tree just ends up being lack luster.
A solid black and white counter to rampage on destro side would be nice but I think you already have one as you stated
Personally I'd like to see all the tanks get something that makes warband leaders look at them and say, "I want this" personally that's the kind of joy I get playing this game I just love the ridiculous class identity that you get when you choose a class.
BO's and Chosen's heavily conflict in class identity and while BO will never be a bad choice because its a tank and there isn't a big enough player base to devalue someone playing a tank I think the initial post comes off as a little too desperate to impactfully carry a message that gives any solid recommendations at giving BO a unique class identifying "genetic code" as other tanks have. Heck even the small RP talk about BO throwing other characters would have been unique, albeit a little far-fetched. But I will feed the request for valid input as I've been in your shoes before.
I don't think BO's should just be a 5 second CD bot, but they also shouldn't be a Chosen lite. A ST punt would be cool but I feel like AOE punt (as awful as it is) has given BO and SM some genetic coding with that ability, take it away (as awful as it is) and you're missing out on something that is useful in certain niche situations which I have found to be fun on my journey through SM and BO. Like you have said, pushing a doorway or even holding Gromril Crossing Bridge.
I think good suggestions for We'z Bigger replacement and what Waaagh should do are the matter at hand and should be given prio. I don't agree with the "BO's are bad class" posters but I am not blind enough to see that its overshadowed heavily by chosen.
Here's my suggestions:
-Yes to on demand KD, would just help things imo for all tanks (apply this to SM and make the KD happen when the button is pressed, not after 2nd swing)
-
We'z Bigger is now a wounds buff to mirror that of WP's (viability comes back to life with this)
-
Mor hardcore changes to a mirror of redirected force of SM's and is only usable with Ya Missed Me (fixes ranked whine of no punt)
-
Waaagh without tactic is a WS buff and with tactic it is a -15% arm pen buff (whoa zealots watch out) and since its a tactic it won't stack with warping the spirit. (the black and white counter to slayer OP wanted)
I think BO had something that made it kind of unique and that thing was strong so now with the removal of it, it's hard to reflect on what you did before it was, "LF BO/Chosen rr70+ Disc required." and it's important to restore the uniqueness to classes
Again I don't think BO is shattered as a class but I do think its having a bit of gender dysmorphia... cause its a shroom, get it?
TLDR: some dif suggestions for BO's genetic coding as a class, with a mild critique to original post, but mostly agreeing with the points that were brought up just not the tone it was done in.
