Nah, they explicitly support non-profit fan projects. Therefore the strict no-payment policy of the dev team.

I think you missed the two replies right below the initial post. I took the time to reply to an older player who has probably followed that discussion over the previous weeks but still has doubts after several replies have been shared on the forums, discord and in-game. People are free to be doubtful regarding this issue (for their own reasons I guess), but it's unnecessary to read several positive replies welcoming and reassuring a new player, and then drop that "I don't think so" reply.
